So a while ago, in January, i bought The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Legendary Edition from Humble Bundle, at the time i merely added the key to my steam, but didn't install the game as i wasn't in the mood for playing it. With the news about the Remaster and the free upgrade for owners of the Legendary Edition on steam i decided to make sure that is what i had. However, in steam, it just shows up as Skyrim, with the 3 dlc's, it doesn't say legendary edition. Is this a mistake or is it just the way it is, and do i still qualify for the free upgrade or whatever it is?

I know this might not be the best place to ask but really hoping someone here can help.

The requirements for the free upgrade were having the base game + all dlcs IIRC, you should be fine.

Well the Legendary Edition, as epic as that may sound, is still just the game + all DLC. http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/635/
There is no separate game to add to your library.

I bought the Legendary Edition on sale but not as part of the HB and mine shows up the same way as do Borderlands GotY editions, etc.

The way Steam handles DLCs is part of the reason steamgifts has problems identifying what you have.

its fine, legendary and basic skyrim both go in the same library entry, so no matter which one u get and u have the dlcs u can get the remaster

until what date you can buy DLCs or the complete edition to recieve that new edition? I'm thinking its not that bad to buy now if you have the "old" version and also the "new". Its the same game, but its like 2x1, i guess. Maybe its not a bad deal.

Everything steam related is perfectly fine in this forum and this thread would also fit well into the "General" category :D
I know, one could think we only discuss blacklists and the decay of contributor value here, but it's not like that!

You mean topics like "My blacklists rose because of my post on decaying CV and now I'm gonna rant like a five year old!!!44"? No, we don't have those at all. None.

As for the topic, because we could modify the game to the max, Bethesda would not try to sell the new edition on PC, because they know that the majority would not buy it. But giving away for free to current owners is sure a surprise. If you haven't played it, just wait until the new edition, it's confirmed that it'll be x64, so hopefully will run mods better. And you will want mods. Trust me :)

Oh i played through the whole game (Main quest) like 3 or 4 times as different races and classes and ofcourse Mods make the game so much better. i generally use S.T.E.P. and or G.E.M.S.
