So i wanted to update my drivers on my laptop. Maybe it wasn't the best idea but i opened up the Device manager, right clicked on AMD Radeon HD 6400M Series, i clicked on update and everything was fine. When the update was over my 6400M thing became AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series.

Should i be worried? It's not trolling or anything, my hardware couldn't change, that's impossible, but now i have 7400 instead of 6400 and i'm a bit scared...

Well considering AMD and Nvidia rebadge their GPUs a lot, this comes at a no surprise. Shouldn't affect anything I say. It's probably still is a 6400M, speakings of 6400 series, they are great for HTPC, I had one on my HTPC for a few months before I went with a 7770.

My AMD driver needed updating, so I updated it. Then, whenever I'd pause my cursor on a link, shortcut, button... The cursor would flicker. VERY annoying. So I reverted my update, and I won't update it anymore. Like they say, don't try to fix what's not broken.
(My point is, AMD, get your shit together.)

Why not download the correct drivers from the website along with CCC?

It's easier to let the device manager work... ^^ anyway, so far everything seems fine, even more my laptop is more silent now...it's cooling down

easier is not always the best choice, perhaps it seems fine now, but you could have serious problems with incorrect graphic drivers
