Depends. From my point of view, of that pack, Bad Rats actually is the most entertaining and worthwhile option in the sea of uninteresting shooters.

Europa Universalis 4, Victoria 2, Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim, Pillars of Eternity, The Talos Principle, Super Metroid, Jagged Alliance 2... there are a lot of games to love out there!

I'm a stealth purist so my top favourites are Hitman, Dishonored, Deus Ex, Styx, Splinter Cell, Metal Gear Solid, Thief, Commandos etc. My other favourite games would include Witcher 3, Talos Principle, StarCraft, Borderlands Pre-Sequel, Machinarium, Life is Strange, Volume, Portal. However I have a special place in my heart reserved just for Warcraft 3 and Dungeon Keeper.

The original Command & Conquer was epic when it came out. Half Life 2 was also one of those wow moments for me. I haven't had that feeling from recent games though. Wolfenstein The New Order came to to it though (one of the best games I played in the last 2 years, thinking of picking it up for a friend who loved The Old Blood)

Doom 4, maybe? It surprised me to no ends; I thought I'll have to wait until Serious Sam 4 to see a real first-person shooter again in this mire of cover-based kiddie games they call FPS nowadays.

I love Final Fantasy series, Tales of series, Might and Magic series, Wizardry 8, Wizards &Warriors, Divinity: Original Sin, Pillars of Eternity, Dragon's Dogma, Divninity 2, Star Ocean series and lots of others RPGs for all platforms.
