If you try to play it after on your own computer, you might experience issues, since the new save will have dlcs as masters. I.e. you can test them with your own save but, when you return to play on your own PC you'd have to revert to your old save.

If your friend were to log onto your computer then you would have the DLC on your computer too and there would be no problem. Hypothetically speaking.

That won't be different from pirating though, I'm afraid.

Um...that's not true. Its not any different from having your own copy of Garry's Mod but having someone else's copy of CSS installed for textures...which isn't pirating.

I don't know about Garry's mod, but how making a friend download and give you a copy of dlcs different from downloading them from the internet? I'm too lazy to check steam/bethesda ToS but I doubt it's allowed.

I'm just saying if he were to do that then his saves would be fine. I'm not sure it is the same as pirating if Steam were to automatically update the files onto his computer if his friend legitimately logged in on it, although I'm the first to admit there are ethical and legal implications to be considered if he made use of said files even if Steam put them there.

Frankly it is a weird one that I thought Steam/Bethesda would have fixed a long time ago.
