I wonder if my system can handle the minimum. The CPU is not the problem (Phenom X6 1090T), but the 1Gb video memory is since I'm using a GTX460 768Mb in SLI, and some games just see that as 1x768Mb, not 1.5Gb.
Recommended same thing... My Phenom (if I OC it a bit) will do the job matching the FX, but once again, GPU memory is the problem...

I have the same thing. gtx 460 and q6600. Isn't the q6600 not sufficient for the minimum requirements?>

Well I have it over clocked to 3.4 and from what I can tell it equals out in performance compared to an i3, I never had trouble in any games, I ran Crysis 3 on high mostly fine.
I doubt an i3 would not be able to run this game no matter what the specs sheet says...

Overclocked I am unsure, all I know is I never had an issue and run most games at high/max still, it should be at least able to play this game.

See I don't see that as much a big deal, personally I can't notice a vast difference after 35-40fps, I am odd like that apparently, blessing really :-P.
I am sure it does better but the Q6600 actually holds up nicely in this day and age surprisingly, I overclocked it and it still runs really cool at 3.4ghz so that will have to do for now.

GPU wise yes and I take the CPU requirement with a grain of salt, I ran Crysis 3 fine on an over clocked Q6600 on high mostly...so most of us should be fine on semi ok processors.

Watch Dogs' Graphics Technical Director Sebastian Viard has revealed through a tweet that these aren't the official hardware requirements. According to Viard, the actual requirements will be much lower than the ones shown here, and will be revealed soon.

Yeah, I'm pretty positive those aren't right. The PS4/XONE couldn't hope to run it on min.

This have 0 to do with Ubisoft and everything to do with next gen. games. The old consoles have held back pc games for years, now we will finally get a huge shift. It's awesome, and all next gen games will probably see similar requirements. Stop being a hater.

No, it has everything to do with Ubisoft and their horrible optimization(like AC3). Crysis 3 looks miles better than this and it doesnt have this ridiculous requirements for the MINIMUM.
Ubisoft are horrible in the PC department. That is all there is to it.

Yeah, and its running on PS3 and 360 due to magic.

I fit the recommended category fine, however, I still expect them to update these requirements again. I doubt this game REALLY needs an i7 or a whopping 8 GB RAM. Ubisoft probably doesn't know themselves what's the recommended requirements for Watch_Dogs so they're playing it "safe" with all these requirements.

Which wouldn't matter if the game was designed to utilize a specific amount of cores. If it were optional that'd be different, making use of more cores if they happened to exist. But that's not the indicated case.

actually i3 is more powerful than the old quad cores even if it is 2 vs 4 cores,it still beats them, its not bout the numbers, just the technology is better ;) its like how i7 quad cores beat amd 6 core cpu depsite the amd cpus having 2 cores more :)

Which still misses the point. A 50 Terahertz celeron would not be able to run a game designed for dual core or greater use, while a 3Ghz i3 could run it with no problems. A DirectX 9 card as powerful as 20 Titans can't run a DX10 game. Like you said, it's about the technology. I'm not saying that you can't do this, I'm just saying that you may have to if you're lucky.

And hopefully we'll be able to run the game around 20-30fps like AC III #iloveconsoleports

Yea I know the feeling :( Motherboard, CPU, memory, etc ..... I'm in the process of saving.

Ehhh...I've lived my whole life up till last christmas playing 10FPS for games like CoD4, C&C RA3 and the likes(1 Frame per like...5 seconds for SR3)...I can live with it again I guess :(

I seriously doubt that an i7 at 3.5 is recommended.
I bet it works just fine from an i3 up.
