A little maths problem with a few traps you might fall into :) Reward for solving it is a train of Else Heart.Break(), Evoland 2 and Victor Vran ARPG.

Good luck!

That wasn't even that hard. Thanks!
EDIT: apparently I was so early that I was the first to solve, it showed 1 on the leaderboard above me, I assume that was you testing(?)

Darn it! Yet, there were no entries. But I wasn't the first to enter, no points, as always

"using this lifeboat it is a 6 minute round trip to the nearest island"
so 3 minutes trip to the island. I think all sailors can swim, and 3 minutes is not so long. So my answer is 0. :)

You are making hypothesis they would survive in water. That may not be true for very very cold water.

Yeah, but maybe it is summer time. Oh, I forget sharks...

I refuse to believe that they cannot think of something like axing some planks to make a raft during those 15 minutes they're waiting for a lifeboat. or turn into a battle killing each other over who gets to go in the next round of lifeboat.

Battle killing each others wouldn't increase global rescue rate :P
But sure there are some stress and emotional factors that mathematics are not including as parameters, here...

I agree that if they succeed in crafting something avoiding them to meet some sharks, that might help them to wait for next round trip.

The question is how many drown, not how many die. So the ones being killed don't necessarily drown.

I see what you did there ;P But well... that means it's only (maybe) a 5 minute swim from shore! I have to admit, I tried to answer 0 first.

In one try
But still, controlling the boat would be quite ineffective w.r.t. time, and probably even unrealistic, with such a model ;3

It helps if you re-enact the whole situation in your mind like a movie.
