Hey! My job involves some downtime I can't do nothing about and I kinda wanna invest that time playing something rather than looking at the ceiling.

Anyhow I know I could use the time to learn Navajo or whatever, but I don't feel like.

So let's get to it.

Some things I thing it should have

  • Can be played without volume
  • Runs in a mediocre i3 laptop with integrated GPU
  • Not Diablo-like levels of clicking (I don't want everyone to hate me) so no crazy APM games here.
  • Can be paused at any time or maybe turn-based
  • Can be played with KB+M

I think that should mostly ccover it, I dunno if I forgot anything, anyways. Thanks a lot!

Baldur's Gate? Icewind Dale? Fallout 1 or Fallout 2? They all would run nicely on your laptop and you can always pause them. I know lots of games like that but all of them are RPGs.

Yeah, I could revisit some old RPG's, I was thinking on something where you had to be less invested on the game to follow it tho, so I can "multitask" a little bit.

Thanks anyways!

I dunno why but I have tons of FPS drops with Isaac. Also 50-Ish percent on the way for Platinum God.

I refuse to play wizard poker.

ONE WAY HEROICS!?! get the extended\whatever editiong if you look it up. adds so many things and game enhancing gameplay changing things. like FAST FORWARD!?!

theres a bajillion songs on it and i can hardly find any 'soundtracks' of it except for one awesome youtube guy that took the time to record them from in game

I was totally going to suggest this. That game was deceptively addictive once you start unlocking classes. Even better because you can buy it on a sale for $1 (sometimes less!).

There is always the free old versions of Dinorun, Gamma Bros and Spelunky.
Lesser known free games are Deep Within a Forest and An Untitled Story.
Not sure how much impact there would be without sound though.

i wuv the game so. finally got an ending i wanted that would give you information for other endings because i read wikis... thus semi ruining the game for me.

Downwell, Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, OlliOlli (Not sure about the pause part), McPixel, Duet, Parcel, Bejeweled 3, Defense Grid 1 and 2, Shattered Planet.

And my personal favourite, Russian Horror Story.

Any roguelike (and I mean "true" roguelike, not Isaac-like) fits the bill. Tales of Maj'Eyal, Dungeons of Dredmor, Ancient Domains of Mystery etc. Though you might miss some good tracks here and there without sound.

Card Hunter is an easy pick. It's modular [easy to load a quick dungeon and complete it, and your progress through a set of dungeons is saved after each dungeon], turn-based, low-demand (and can even be run through a browser), and is loads of fun.

It's just a perfect load up and play game.

It's available through Steam, if you're into achievements and have access to Steam.
If you have access to Steam, I can offer a bunch more suggestions, though you may want to give me a genre or playstyle to work with for it. :)

SpaceChem!

It's a puzzle game. Zero APM required. Even better, it has a free demo that can easily be hours of content on it's own, to check out and see if that's the sort of gameplay you're looking for.

  • KNIGHTS is my favourite.
  • Lyne.
  • Any Tower Defense games.
  • 12 Labours of Hercules kind of time management games. These are not click intensive in my opinion as you wait for tasks to be completed anyway.
