I am wondering due to recent TF2 patch.
You are allowed to get only 1 item at a time, once you check it, and add it to your inventory, another one can be found.

Anyways, is idling itself on idling servers allowed? I do not mind to check every once a while if I have received any item at all, or not.

I never used text mode idling. I am asking about normal idling :D.

Each time you get a drop you have to click accept or whatever. Until it's accepted you don't receive anymore.

Valve never stated that it's not allowed, however, they killed textmode idling (please use google if you don't know what I'm talking about).

Since the latest patch you have to confirm each drop, else you can't find a new item until you do, so only having TF2 running in the background won't do.

Yeah, I know, they kept all the servers used for idling running, never banned them, and never banned players who used idling (unless you had many, many accounts, and generating huge profit).
Well, in that case, that is great :), nothing changed in my case then :D. I have only 1 acc, game turned on, and check it once a while anyway :D.
Thanks!:D

Well, idling like that is still feasible, but before you could run TF2 in Textmode and just send it to the background and leave it idling without a thought for 12 hours and then reap the benefits. Now you have to be a little more artistic in your idling overnight (mouse co-ordinates mapped to auto click when a particular colour shows up)

Yea idling is allowed. If you go to the server list and search "achievement_" without the quotations a bunch of idling servers will come up. I heard from my friend that they made it so you can only get 14 drops a week or something though. I use those servers to idle and have got a lot of items from it.

Well, personally, I just go on the achievement servers. A lot of them have some neat people and although they can be the usual asshole player, it's more fun to go onto these servers and mess around than play competitive lolpushcart!one1one!one
