Married here too, and I'll just echo what others have said: marriage doesn't have to mean the end of your gaming days, rather just a shift in perspective on how to let gaming enrich your relationship with your spouse and potentially, your future children.

I kind of abandoned gaming for a while when I graduated from university and became a "responsible working adult". Having kids is actually what brought me back into the fold. When my kids were able to start using a mouse it brought back so many memories from my childhood and my passion for gaming got reignited full-force. Harnessed in the right way, I see games as an incredibly powerful tool that can help train skills, experience stories and viewpoints, and educate in ways that are so much more interesting and efficient than traditional media. It has led me into pursuing a childhood dream of developing my own games in my spare time, and has allowed me to appreciate games in a different, more focused, and life-enriching way.

TLDR; quite the opposite of death to my gaming life, marriage and children resurrected my interest in games and taught me ways to appreciate them and my free time more fully than I had ever done before.

Your wife sounds awesome and you are a lucky man. :D

I missed the whole Wii era when it was fresh, but now my kids are prime age for the platform. Its kinda perfect timing because used Wii units and games are dirt cheap now.

She is awesome.
It's also incredibly easy to hack and install homebrew, so you can play all your old games
