Hey guys,

Recently I got a new phone, and I wanted to sign in to the Steam app from it. However it wants me to disable the mobile authenticator on my older phone in order to activate it on the new one. I have a few questions about this.

I have a trade on hold for 11 more days. If I authenticate my new phone, will the trade be disabled, or will go on normally?
If I know it right, I won't be able to confirm trades and listings for 2 weeks. Is this true?
I have a recovery code, which previously failed me, as I couldn't type it anywhere after changed devices. Does this problem still persist?

I'd be glad, if someone could help me with this problem :)

I just transferred devices earlier, due to a ROM change. Login > I no longer have access > Transfer to this device > Check your mobile number for a code, and input it > Done

Everything should work identically, as long as your number hasn't changed.

Just one question: Will I lose the ability to confirm trades and market listings for 7 days if I do the procedure?

Sorry for the delay in responding. It transfers everything, even recovery code, as long as the phone number is the same. I was able to confirm market listings immediately after transferring.

Check out gag6357s comment below me, this seems to be correct. I just went ahead and tested it, and I'm unable to trade between my alt-accounts, they get put on trade-hold. :c

You can confirm market listings, but not trades, at least not for 7 days.
