No you don't. Once you give something to someone, that thing is no longer yours. It now belongs to the person you gave it to and that person has every right not to return it ;)

It's like donating your money to organization like "Make a wish" and after a year or so, to ask them to give your money back, because you changed your mind. This never happened or I never heard of such thing. Same here.
