How do events and puzzles work? I tried to take a look, but maybe because of my poor english level, i do not understand very well how it works.

Most events are usually:
- Private giveaway(s): Private giveaways are giveaways which can only be accessed by having the giveaway link. Sometimes, people will drop a link on a forum thread, so there are higher odds. At times, there will be great events with 100+ private giveaways, and sometimes you can even take part in the event by creating a private giveaway. An example of a giveaway event.
- Giveaway train(s): A chain of private giveaways are linked together, creating a "train", each giveaways being one wagon. Simply enter the train and keep visiting every "wagon" and entering whichever giveaways you want! :D
- Other: There have been tons of other kind of original and creative events and puzzles created in the past, so I couldn't list them all. Just lately, there was a karaoke contest on the forum. I think it's still open, too. :P
As for puzzles, they are quite a simple concept. Puzzles vary in theme and difficulty, but most of the times, they are ItsTooHard puzzles.
Here is an example of a ItsTooHard puzzle I've created. Basically, you are asked "questions" and must answer them all to solve the puzzle. At the end of the puzzle, you are usually given a private giveaway link.

Glad you like it here! Your speech seems to conveniently omit those people that others like to describe as 'leechers', as for every happy giver there is a recipient and some people who are less fortunate will inevitably end up with some kind of deficit as well. But as you point out, let's focus on the good stuff and the people willing to share and before I forget, welcome!

I can understand that this community doesn't like those "leechers". Personally i do not watch if a person contributes or not since i can not know if they are trying to just get free games or they don't have money to buy many games.
I saw that i have the possibility to create GA for contributors only, which i think is enough to grant a fair possibility to awesome guys like you :)

I know, and I completely understood you were joking. But there are some members of this community who don't take that lightly (since it really can be annoying - and the excuse will always be: I was only joking!)
You can even be punished (suspended) if someone reports you and a mod sees your post. It happened before.
Pleases see this just as a friendly warning of what can happen. And I would very much regret to see good people like you - who are interested in this community - being suspended, just because they didn't know about some very specific rules.

I subscribed this site 1 week ago but i have to say that i really like SG!
All of you people are willing to share you games: sometimes crap you don't like, sometimes good games which could be someone's treasure. This will of sharing what you have, what you've earned with your hard earned money, makes you all awesome people. I really mean it!
I was quite unlucky untill now with giveaways, but i don't really care. I mostly subscribed here because i didn't know what to do with the keys i had from bundles. I like to think that someone might really enjoy a couple of hours of the game i gifted, forgetting for a moment all the real-life's worries.
So i just opened this discussion to say THANK YOU ALL for being kind people, your partecipation to steamgifts could be a very small thing but you may bring a second of happyness to someone you don't even know on the other side of the world ;)
