Write History Group Train

Ladies and Gentleman,

today (8th May) our little group celebrates the end of The II World War in Europe.

We would like to share with you facts and games (some of them related to this war, but not necessarily).
If you are interested in history and would like to join us, then discuss with us, share some knowledge. We are open-minded, multinational and multicultural group, so don't be afraid, jump on that TRAIN and express your thoughts.

The War have had a serious consequences to what we are now, where we live and how we act. It influences us everyday, even when we do not notice that. And nowadays Europe seems to be again on crossroads, so:

We can hate each other and fear each other
We can build these walls between each other
Baby, blow by blow and brick by brick
Keep yourself locked in, yourself locked

Maybe we should love somebody
Maybe we could care a little more
Maybe we could love somebody
Instead of polishing the bombs of holy war

We (Vaudi and I) would like to thank all of our members for their contributions. We really appreciate it. You've done a great job.

Thanks for sharing the stories.

In a war there are no winners
You can't fight for peace.

I remember a comic where a small boy walks around with a toy gun. We won the war, didn't we he asks his grandfather. Oh yes he answered, we won the war, but we lost, and then mentions name of friends he lost. After that the boy throws away his toy gun. That's so true isn't it, and still we haven't learned anything at all

You are right, a war does not know winners. When it comes to Syria for example. I can´t imagine that one side could feel as winners after this cruel war. So many lifes lost, so many people injured, tortured or mental broken. The whole Young Generation is lost. They only know war and violence and they did not get a proper education at school.

Edit: By the way, the war in Syria is now longer than the WW2.

Thank you for creating this train. Even after all these years World War II still defines our lives here in Europe and is still the cause for unending debates, though I like to think we have become better people for it, victors and defeated both (there are no winners in war).

I've read some of the stories on the giveaway pages and will hopefully have the time tonight the read the rest.
