Super Hexagon and Starcraft 2, but when I play Starcraft 2 I do terribly and only play a match or two.

I often go for adventure games, which works well, right up until I get to a particularly obscure/arbitrary puzzle, at which point I get even more frustrated than I usually would and quit. Duel of the Planeswalkers is also something I often fire up in such situations.

I glad you like it. I think it's a great game to relax when I'm tired and yet can't fall asleep.
I also tend to do most of my light reading in such situations. I don't recommend Metro though, last night I had horrible nightmare about my family being killed in dark tunnels by their monster counterparts when I ran out of ammo in my shotgun. No kidding. Next time I'm rather taking Walter Jon Williams or Larry Niven to the bed.

Bit.Trip Runner or Audiosurf are perfect 'lazy-games'.

Telltale games have many puzzles in general? Got most from the HB.

Telltale games aren't very puzzling, except Puzzle Agent. The other ones are just sit back and listen to the dialogue type of games, I played through all the Sam and Max episodes and it was great but sometimes you will just get stuck and I recommend looking at a walkthrough before you rip your hair out trying to figure out what you're supposed to do. Anyways, give it a try if you want.

I usually end up opening games when tired because I am bored but closing them minutes later due to being tired, anyone else do this? If so what games don't put any drain on you?
Thinking of trying an adventure game....that might not tire me more.
