so it's kinda ready, innit?

The congs, my dude!

first of all:

but easier ... no boss ...

say it you had me on your mind all along development. just say it an' i won't be offended. as usual :)
love you use handcrafted, honest real good dev you are, N. that's also why gonna try it, even if just a lil' -as usual- and Wishlist it and buy it and share it here around.

i also have a question. you say demo it's around 65 mb but you might want to go down on size even further. dunno why, but always had a huge soft spot for small/er games. the tinier the better! so, why you want to shrink it even more? it's about quality of code? what are the benefits?

i do remember all things you've already shared with me, but won't miss this chance to not ask Gemini about it, this time... be my AI! (lol)

(can i add a game or two here? can i send you the keys so you will do actual work...? [pig_nose] hey, you'll get juuuuicy CV in return!!!)

I just think there's room to shrink it a bit, so why not? It's an early build with a lot of placeholder code and assets that won't be used in the final, so they can safely be removed later. Many people use handhelds today and even +/- 10Mb could make a difference when choosing if to have it permanently downloaded or not...

truly congrats, Nicola! art style is so nice on the eyes, love the circles/world menu, only thing that i'm not sure is the first BGM, i'd like to have a different genre or even just more "lively".

generous demo!

(also, YouTube ate my GA links! i do hate YouTube! ...gonna try to fix them)

It seems like the demo is missing some graphics for Big Picture mode and the Game Logo is also a bit too small, I think you should not include transparent space but rather scale it down in the menu tools, not sure how it actually is inside Steamworks. Works fine on the Steam Deck besides that!

You mean in the steam library? All the assets are in compliance with steamworks requests, but I admit that doesn't mean it looks good in the library, will look into it, thanks.
