Which One Should I BUY
FF15, because my profile page says so.
On a more serious note though, depends on what genre you prefer more. I would pick FF15 hands down because I'm a big JRPG fan first and foremost. Although I should get around to trying Fallout games eventually.
P.S. FF15 story is shit. If you are trying to pick a game based on that, proooobably would be better off with Fallout 4. FF15 has amazing attention to detail and everything else though. The story is just meh :P

I've played the FF13 and FF14 and the fighting styles were not as of my choice, but i love the cutscenes, mostly those game has 30-40% cutscenes. I didn't like the gameplay as i've to wait, then they'll attack, then i'll attack, it's like something childish.
But yeah, in FF15, they revamped the gameplay, noe moved to an OPEN WORLD exploration, and the gameplay is great (as compared to FF13 and FF14).. i watched youtube trailer regarding the same :)
And here, still the vote is divided 50-50
And i know you can catch fishes in FF15 :D :D, do catch some for me serale :D :D

Well F4 is also shit so you have to choose from those two :))).

I can say that for you, it is an okis shooter not Doom 2016 miles ahead that one, soso RPG and a bad Fallout :D.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's very much more of the same, with better visuals and voice acting, and more emphasis on the shooting (for better or worse). If you liked Fallout 3, you'll like 4 too, but if you can find New Vegas somewhere I'd recommend that. New Vegas really emphasizes the role-playing, with interesting story, factions, quests, and varied approaches to solving the quests.
Comment has been collapsed.
Do you like exploration/walking-focused shooters that took a bit too much Minecraft to the knee? Then you should like Fallout 4.
If you hate shooters, then you'll hate FO4.
Didn't played FF15 to know how it plays, but it has demo you can try.
If you're looking for RPG, FO4 is like GTA5 - there are stats and some quests to do, but main goal is to just shoot everything in the face.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well the main reason i liked FALLOUT 4 is the gameplay, and the story, and the background music, the way BETHESDA games divided the whole story in chapters is amazing... and that's the reason i choose this one.
And yeah you're right there's a lot of shooting, and you're kinda low on ammo.. But i played FALLOUT 3 GOTY and i like that much :)
I've played the free version of EVIL WITHIN 2 and man, that game is just AMAZING, really amazing and i went spending $18-$19 (INR 1299) on that, and i really love the way they created that game in the horror genre.. Really impressed by the story, and the gameplay, and the graphics too, man it's a must have, and if you haven't tried that game I'll 100% recommend it, you won't regret it having that masterpiece in your libary, the gameplay, characters, visuals, graphics, in-game sequences, horror, action, low-on-ammo situations, man that's really a game to have and to play.
The first EVIL WITHIN is shit, really it is a shitty piece of game, as i've never liked the demo.
But the evil within 2, will entertain you from start to finish, at least i'm on CHAPTER 7, and there are total 19-20 chapters, and not for one moment, i regret spending my money..

Hmm I am going to have to answer Fallout 4. I enjoyed it immensely and need to do another play-through soon.
I've been on the fence about buying FF15 (so obviously I haven't played it yet), but most everyone I've spoken to had the same complaint - that, while the first half of the game is amazing, the second half drags like a 90 year old man with elephantitis.

There are games whose GOTY version don't provide that much content to continue, like the DMC special editions, but there are some games whose DLC are actually providing game content worth of hours, eg BIOSHOCK by 2k,
that's why I'm asking as I'm interested in completing story missions and then side missions

Mod(ification)s. User-contributed content: DLCs, rebalances, unofficial updates, etc. Bethesda games are specifically designed to cater to modding, with Skyrim and the Fallout games all having rich built-in modding support (and very shallow, underdeveloped base games, which seem to be intended mostly to be a framework for modders to add content to).
While modding is popular among games of all sorts, the modding base for Bethesda games may be the largest one out there, with new content downloads being released for Bethesda games on a weekly basis. Even players that enjoy the core Bethesda games for what they are, typically consider downloading some of the user-developed graphic and stability updates.
Also, modding of any sort is always permissible for single player games running on your local machine. There's some legal technicalities and loopholes favoring corporations on certain things, but generally speaking, you only have to concern yourself if you're sending modded data to servers run by the developers (eg, by modding an online game), as unauthorized editing of data on someone else's computer is always prohibited (unless you're a company utilizing one of the loopholes I mentioned. See: Forced Windows 10 updates).

Designed, you mean they need the mods to make them worth.
Creation Club is designed by them, the new online Fallout is designed by them to not include mods because well online as cheats etc :(.

I can't believe I get to introduce you to mods :D they are seriously the coolest thing in all of gaming (in my opinion) because the whole community gets to add-on to the game in whatever way they like, not just the developers. You can even make your own mods if you want!
Please check out this site for Fallout 4 mods: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/

Played FF XV (just the demo) and also Fallout 3. Every Final Fantasy game gives you really a lot of playtime , even this one that has a big world, and also any Fallout game is kinda the same in terms of gameplay, you can play it forever and get new experiences each time.
Comment has been collapsed.
Fallout 4. Story is mediocre, if not down-right a reverse Fallout 3 and just as snoresville, but the game-play and modding potential would be enough to keep you satisfied for a very long time.

when it comes to elder scrolls or fallout series one can say that "Modding,Modding everywhere but my game can handle only some".
A mod is an alteration that changes some aspects or one aspect of a video game, such as how it looks or behaves. Mods may range from small changes and tweaks to complete overhauls, and can extend the replay value and interest of the game.

One is a very long road trip movie about three very anime JRPG guys who manage to do pretty much everything—hunting, fishing, aimlessly roaming around, fighting random stuff—instead of what they are supposed to do, but you learn a lot about them as characters and eventually learn about the world and the actual story itself through the myriads of side-activity. (The main story is apparently like 5% of what the game expects you to spend your time with.)
The other is an endless open-world looter-shooter with self-repeating random quests that yield you plenty of loot to build a pretty settlement that is inhabited by a bunch of cardboard cut-outs who only differ from the other cardboard cut-outs in that they do not have a unique name or send you to one of the 200 identical fetch/raider-killing quests. Also, there is supposedly a story, but so far not many have managed to find it among the lines apparently written by a computer algorithm that never saw how human beings interact with each other. (Seriously, the writing sucks.)

My highest play time on Steam is actually Fallout new Vegas with 800 hours. Also, there isn't really an FF "universe", almost all games are set on different dimensions.
I like FF more as a franchise, true, but mostly because of the sheer size and the actual amount of imagination put into it in each instalment. My second favourite game of all time is FFVI.
Still, Fallout mostly loses because of size and that it is a franchise that strayed too far from its roots. It was supposed to be a traditional sci-fi about the pretentiousness and the oppression of the McCarthy era of US history, the sheer extremes the right-wing politics could have (or could still) stray them, combined with the idealised social structure of the sweet 50s and swinging 60s that hid some of the worst problems in US society, masked by a dumbly smiling consumerist/patriotic facade that melted the moment an actual problem popped up they couldn't just sweep under the rug. Nowadays, it is just a simple low-fantasy story where orks are replaced by super mutants, wizards with insane scientist groups, rebels with synth supporters, zombies with ghouls, and knights with various military factions, completely missing the political and social messages the world should convey.
But then again, the lead writer cannot write a single line of dialogue that is not totally cringe-worthy and his previous credits before being a lead designer/writer on FO3/FO4 was being a junior assistant designer on one of Looking Glass's games.
Comment has been collapsed.
FFXV, easily. FO4 is more like an UbiSoft open-world fuckaroundery than an actual ARPG. Yes, you can spend 1000 hours on one character, but only if you are the kind who likes to play MMORPGs in their post-game just to get shinier pants on their overlevelled character.

The one single most striking difference between a Final Fantasy game and a Bethesda game lies in quality of presentation.
FF games are polished, stable games with some of the best quality music and cinematics in all of game development. Grindy as the games may be, environments nevertheless are stimulating and engaging, making grind feel more relaxing than frustrating. Meanwhile, Bethesda games are rushed, unstable, shallow affairs that don't manage to hit high marks in anything other than their quality of modding depth, and have the most cardboard-copy grind possible.
With FF games, regardless of how they turn out, it becomes clear professionalism and dedication was put into the game. With Bethesda, it always feels like they were cutting corners as much as possible, running with as small and low-quality a team as was possible to budget, and just generally not caring about end result [with the seeming mentality that modding would fix any issues the games have] (which, in fairness, the modding community does succeed splendidly at).
As much as I enjoy Bethesda games once they've been thoroughly modded, I will never truly understand why people enjoy the base games to any significant degree. Though, as you noted, that's more down solely to the low quality of writing than any of the other factors involved.
Then, of course, you have New Vegas, which is done by Obsidian (the modern iteration of the Interplay team that worked on the first two games)- a game which really emphasizes the "Bethesda can build the framework, and someone else can build the content, and the end result can be great" dynamic of the games.
That said, few games really do free-roam open-world exploration as unrestrictedly as Bethesda games, and I've been repeatedly informed that that's a major draw of the base games. Then again, FFXV is supposed to be pretty open itself, so Bethesda theoretically no longer has that over the FF series.
Comment has been collapsed.
OH i got your point
But to be honest I've played some of the BETHESDA games earlier, FALLOUT 3 GOTY and THE EVIL WITHIN 2, and to be very frank and honest, THE EVIL WITHIN 2 won my heart, it's the first game of BETHESDA that i really liked and enjoying it till now..
Story, gameplay, graphics, texture, background score, in game cut scenes, emotions, dialogues, and the most important the feel of horror (NOT LIKE OUTLAST games) but i think this one is better than that..
And I've played FF13 and FF14 already and i don't like the "locked close choose combat" system, they should introduced a free flow combat system like the DMC one, so that they can be actually worth playing
Comment has been collapsed.
Like I replied above, Evil Within 2 isn't Bethesda. It's done by Tango Gameworks, which was founded and is lead by Shinji Mikami, who also previously directed production on Resident Evil and Resident Evil 4, among other games.
As far as the combat systems, they change across Final Fantasy games, though full real-time action variations have traditionally been put into off-shoots of the main series (See: Dirge of Cerberus and Type-0). That said, Final Fantasy's adherence to more traditional JRPG combat mechanics has been a selling point for a lot of players, so presumably the games don't need any help in becoming worth playing. Rather, there have already been plenty of action-rpg JRPGs already out there to choose from.
Final Fantasy XV does seem to trend closer to a DMC playstyle, though whether the nuances between the two systems will be favorable or not to you is hard to say. If you're looking for a game that plays close to DMC mechanics, you may want to consider Bayonetta, instead.

Sooth, your comment is one of the most detailed and to the point, really amazed by your explanation.
I guess it's not only me, but the community is in a state of dilemme too as the vote is 49-51 :D
I'm thinking to buy RESIDENT EVIL 7 GOLD EDITION for $25 here, it's worth the money as i've played the demo and it was really scared..

As the others said it's mainly about what kind of gameplay type you prefer.
I'd personally recommend Final Fantasy XV - I spent more than 200 hours playing that one because I actually enjoyed the fighting gameplay and like JRPGs in general.
I also played Fallout 4. It's pretty okay-ish but I dropped it pretty fast. Especially the base building is really annoying and doesn't get explained well enough.

Well, if you've played the FF13 and FF14, is the gameplay the same or different, i tried playing the FF13 and i remember the gameplay, sucked, it wasn't even an open world adventure, but now, this game i'm actually interested because of the gameplay and graphics at 30fps (just like assassin creed origin), if you played origins at 30fps, you'll see the beauty and amount of hardwork spent in performance of the game..
Comment has been collapsed.
It's different. :)
It's more like a Hack & Slash game that you could pause to use items if needed. Battles are more or less realtime with quicktime events. Also it has got a really clean interface compared to older titles what let's you enjoy your encounters even more by making room to see the actual game instead of buttons.

Ahahaahah I just voted and you got the result 50/50 (107/107)
Good luck with decision =)

Before you stress over which game to get, I'd recommend downloading the FFXV performance test, and making sure your computer can actually run the game- it's rather intensive, so you'd need a reasonably good computer to run it.
Past that- If your main focus is just casual, empty exploration with occasional "oooh, look what I found!" moments, or if you like building your own game [through modding], then Bethesda games are a good way to go. If you prefer games with stronger narrative, rich environments, extensive quality of presentation, and just a generally more fleshed-out design, then Final Fantasy is the way to go.
Final Fantasy games are hands down "better", as far as production quality goes. However, as to which you'd prefer, that of course depends on where your preferences lie. Consider watching some Let's Plays on youtube for both games before deciding on one.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, I've played FF13 and FF14 and really i didn't like the gameplay at all, the pause and decide thing really sucks me in JPRG titles. but this FF15 is something different, plus the game has a open world roam thing, that i liked a bit.
Moreover, I've played Bethesda games before, and i like the way the represent the story, i.e. FALLOUT 3 and THE EVIL WITHIN 2,
I'm actually surprised by THE EVIL WITHIN 2, because they really really really really really did a great work, in terms of story, excitement, horror, difficulty, graphics, gameplay, scarcity, graphics, visuals, in-game cutscenes, everyhing is perfect till now and i don't regret spending 18-19 USD on that. even that's one of my favourite game of 2017, after ECHO, even though i will wait a 75% discount on ECHO.
Still thank you for your detail review

and i like the way the represent the story, i.e. FALLOUT 3 and THE EVIL WITHIN 2,
It's important not to confuse Bethesda-published games (Like Tango-developed Evil Within 2, ID Software-developed DOOM, and Arkane-developed Dishonored and Prey) with Bethesda-developed ones. While Bethesda has a bad reputation as a publisher and a developer both, the other developers under their publishing banner all have good reputations as far as the games they develop. The only remotely modern Bethesda-developed games are: The Elder Scrolls series (Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim); IHRA Professional Drag Racing; Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and Fallout Shelter.
Other than in-development Elder Scrolls and Fallout games (and older games like Arena, Daggerfall, and various sports games) that is the full list of games Bethesda has actually done the development for. Any other Bethesda-labeled game is actually developed by someone else.
That said, if you liked Fallout 3 (not to be confused with Obsidian-developed Fallout 3: New Vegas), then you probably know what you're getting into with 4. Given a choice between a near-sure bet and an unknown, Fallout 4 may be a better (in the sense of safer) option for you right now than FFXV.

Goo info Sooth.
If you want to See BugTesga devs then you have Oblivion, Fallout 3, Skyrim and Fallout 4 and that is all .
The rest have nothing to do with those devs but with Zenimax and BugTesta Softwarks or something :)).

Well still you're right that TANGO developed the THE EVIL WITHIN 2 series, but to be very honest, I'm simply in love with THE EVIL WITHIN 2..
But yeah you're right, BETHESDA do published some high rated games like DISHONORED and PREY, but FALLOUT 4 is something i think i might have interest in..
Still just watch a video where square enix improved the battle combat to a great extent..So keeping that in mind to buy too
Although I'm planning to buy RESIDENT EVIL GOLD EDITION in case this vote goes south..

FF are usually better then F4 so ...

To be honest for this one I don't know.
It wasn't g2a or kinguin so it was maybe green man or Gamvio.
I was in a weeding and there weren't any single girls there so I didn't had anyone to dance and I drank and after that I decided to buy this one :))) because fuck it :)).

I can speak only for FFXV. FFXV is the FF game where it is emphasized on gameplay over the story.
If you want to enjoy the story or get the whole picture, there is a prequel movie called Kingsglaive set in an important even in Chapter 1. Also there are 5 anime episodes on Youtube covering the background of our four main characters.
The story does have its ups and downs but keep your expectations low throughout.
After you are done with the main story, you have a lot of endgame content to play that can keep you going for hours. Plus DLCs that allows you to play the main character's friends in their own little episodes and each friend has a different gameplay style(you can unlock to switch characters in the main game so it gives you the option to vary up your hack n slash playstyle).
There is multiplayer DLC called Comrades. It can be played offline and is essentially like an entire game on its own set in the FFXV universe.
I put 123 hours into this game and I still havent completed it.
There are recipes to try out, fish to gather, extremely hard dungeons to do, etc.
Plus, mod level editor is coming in Fall which allows people to make their own quests.
P.S. Be sure to save a lot of pictures in-game on your journey bcz it will be very important for later on in the story
Comment has been collapsed.
Never played those titles before.
I did see bit of FF13 combat on youtube before. I say FFXV is more free-flowing combat. You can go ahead and fight one or two baddies then you can run away anytime.
You arent locked in combat mode unless you are doing a story-based fight or a boss fight
Comment has been collapsed.
There isnt generally.
It is better to play the demo to see what I am saying or just watch this video
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah I recommend playing the demo to see if your computer could handle it and see the combat yourself.
I do want to say one last thing about FFXV. One of the best things about it is how realistic the interactions and banter between the main character and his friends. They talk, move, act like real people. For every sidequest you accept or complete, there is banter related to the quest between the four of them that is triggered after you walk around
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh I didn't know FF15 is a regular RPG game. The last I played was 7 or 8
Comment has been collapsed.
Wow, that poll is indeed split right down the middle (at least for now). That's pretty impressive.
That being said, I'd recommend Fallout 4, without a doubt. As has been said before, you get the base game + DLC's, and at the same time you have a whole new game's worth of possibilities when using modifications (mods).
Comment has been collapsed.
I voted for Final Fantasy but I need to say that if you are looking for replayability and/or length then Fallout 4. Mods alone will make the game fun again after you've beaten it,or want new content. Otherwise Ff15.

I will not give you links but prices:
NW : 3.16EUR;
NW ultimate Edition 7.5EUR
F4 : 9.5EUR
F3 Goty 6.2 EUR.
All of this are from 100% sellers so 99.99% you are safe.
You can pay max 1EUR for more protection etc.
All of this are from Gamivo and +1EUR protection is not bad.
I bought then at a lowest price :

6 Feb, 2017 Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Comp Retail
But that was some time ago so :)).
You should avoid g2a :(.
F4 is also 10EUR on kinguin weekly sale from a 99% 370K sealer :P.
This is how I would do it.
Get the 10Eur F4 from that 370K seller, get NW ultimate for 7.5 + 1 EUR protection and you spent 10 + 8.5 = 19 EUR's for FNW ultimate + F4 :D.

Hello Everyone,
Steam sale is going to end in a few days and I'm confused which of the above game should i buy from steam store
It's available in INDIA as given in the table below
FALLOUT 4 GOTY - INR 1499 - $21.74
FINAL FANTASY XV WINDOWS EDITION - INR 1449 - $21.02
Please do poll and comment which one should i buy and why??
FINAL UPDATE
Hello friends, I guess it was not only me but the community too were in a state of confusion while choosing any one from both of the games.
BTW I've purchased the follow-wing games and I'll state the reason behind that, WHY I've Purchased it, as i did some very extensive research on the 3 games that I've purchased.. These are the followwing
HELLBLADE SENUA'S SACRIFICE - 437 INR = $6.36
FALLOUT 4 GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION 1499 INR = $21.83
FINAL FANTASY XV WINDOWS EDITION 1449 INR = $21.10
TOTAL PAID - 3385 INR = 49.95 USD as of 04-JULY-2018
REASON
I choose the sequence very carefully listed above.
I've watched 3hrs of gameplay in youtube, for HELLBLADE SENUA'S SACRIFICE and really it is my favourite game in all of three, the story, the graphics, the audio, the horror, the combat system too looks pretty impressive and i think ninja theory did a great job in maintaining all the three things altogether - THE GAME completes in average 8-10 HRS so therefore i guess 30% of gameplay time is worth deciding whether to buy or not. Not only this, I even contacted some famous youtubers and even they choose hellblade among the other games [THAT'S A SHOCK]. But as i said, it's totally understandable and I'm currently downloading the game as of this writing.
NEXT I LISTED FALLOUT 4 GOTY, well the community has divided opinions regarding bugs, and the mods that are added on daily or weekly basis, and because of a very very strong mod support, this game does more than it's potential. I can understand that people were saying that it's kinda repetative in sense of exploration or gameplay, like around 70% time it involves shooting and killing, but this is actually common in all of the fallout games. Indeed I've played the Fallout 3 GOTY and i like the idea of nuclear apocalypse and setting on a journey to explore the fallout universe and vault 101, the story was kinda great ( JUST SOMEWHAT like FAR CRY 4) although FAR CRY 5 is the best far cry game i've played, because of the amazing graphics and gameplay, and the first game that i completed in that far cry universe.
Back to what i was talking about FALLOUT 4 that Bethesda with Fallout 76 is going to do a experimental change the way they manage the fallout series. Now many people advised me that after the release of the FALLOUT 76, i should buy this game, but i guess the amount of content and game-play is worth the money, even Bethesda is trying to kill the modding support by frequently adding patches and game updates. But I'm a hard-core gamer and i guess after 2.5 years of waiting the prices aren't going down for another year and a half (i mean for next 3 steam sales)
NOW THE FINAL GAME IS FF15, well i watched 3 hrs of gameplay for it too and it's really an amazing world square enix created, literally amazing in terms of visuals and graphics, the story is not what it seems to be eye catching at first, but my doubt about the combat system cleared and now i'm not locked to a particular demon like the ones we'd earlier in FF14 and FF13. Although the comparison isn't justified and even though I'm not a FAN of JRPG, but I am a fan of gameplay and graphics. Like Mirror's Edge catalyst does have a shitty, very very shitty story, but the graphics, the gameplay, man that's impressive in all nature. and i bought that for $5, after playing the drm free version provided by my friends in EA.
So i would like to thank everyone for helping me through and really some of the suggestions were too the point and amazing, and really i would wish you a Happy 4th July to my friends in the USA.
I hope i didn;t make a mistake by purchasing these 3 and if i did. I'll update that in a separate PROS and CONS with the games but that'll take time for me to process, analyze and then decide.
Thank you everyone for your wonderful support
With love from India,
Abrix
