So, recently I started to play many different games.
I was feeling bad, because I only been playing FPS and aRPG and apparently there were no new games...
or at least not many worth even looking at since few years.
I was upset and depressed... Was thinking to leave gaming for good...
Maybe I grew up? Maybe... I am too old for it... Maybe....
Maybe... I am so different from people now, that games they make are simple not targeted to me...

Am I that old? Yes I still live like I am 20 when I'm closer 30...
My heart is still 20, not 16... 16 was way too young...

To the point.

My husband used to say, You can't say You don't like it... If You didn't try it.
He was the one who made me try new different things.
I was pretty much boring person, doing same old choices, eating same sandwiches everyday, or same dinners...
Not because I didn't want to try, but because these were just good enough and I didn't feel like I need to discover something new.

And then all of the sudden...
Maybe because of the age or something XD

I realized that I should try new games, and try to find something different.
So I did try today 2 games...
And I'm surprised.

  1. Rocket League (Free this weekend)
  2. Card hunter (Free game)

And for the 1st one, as a woman, and totally not a fan of soccer I need to say that this combination is seriously fun!
I don't have it in my library but when I will be able to afford it, I will probably buy it.

About Card hunter.... Well... free game, totally surprised. Never seen game so good and for free.
I wonder if there are any other games like that? I realized I like card games when I played "100% Orange"
but this game is just awesome.

I can make new choices, but I rather not because even if I do nothing will change. That joy you get from new choices and new experiences expires too fast and I'm soft-hearted, I can't handle good things go away. So I'd rather repeat everyday and feel good about myself. And no, I can't recommend any games because I'm bored of games myself.

EDIT: I however tend to admire retro-like games. 2d with simple gameplay and storyline.

Oh I know that feel. I was so sad when Harry Potter movies finished...
When I keep watching same serial "Sliders" for the 10th time... (Right now on season 3)
And playing Diablo 2 over and over. XD
But hey! one day we need to go ahead and keep trying!

The harry potter movies were SO GREAT, but they happened too fast, a lot of missing elements :(. If I'm ever to write a story, produce a movie or make a game. I'll make sure it's tooooo freaking long.
Right now, the only thing I care about is passing this school year :(.

I downloaded Card Hunter when it came out but have yet to play it. But I imagine there are probably A LOT of games similar to it on the iOS and App Store for Apple and Android?

Hmmm,

Runespell: Overture might be worth taking a look at. You basically use poker hands to deal damage to enemies. You can either get it at Bundlestars or on TremorGames.

I have heard good things about Hand of Fate.

Etherlords has a card based battle system iirc. I haven't played it for a few years so i'm not exactly sure.

I hope my recommendations help a bit :3
