Curiosity: why the keys referred on FAQ are consired exploited and other not?

Hello all. I'm kinda new here so I do not know why these keys are exploited. Someone can explain to me?

Most of those keys are bad and or stolen. Or offered in a giveaway with invailid codes. This list goes on, but hey ty for reading FAQ. Most don't.

If I had my way, no keys would be allowed at all. The ones listed were probably freely obtainable at some point.

Cg is the admin (who delevoped and maintains the group and website Steam Gifts and the new website Steam Trades.) He has recruited mods, like Cult, Loko, and Raiden, who moniter and control members and make sure all rules are being followed and institute punishment. They have no actual power to change the coding in the website itself, but they do have certain commands like banning people, taking down fake giveaways, closing threads.

I was merely curious as to why Cult couldn't change the rules, which is a power the mods do appear to have.

yeah but how do you prove it right? Don't matter if you get caught passing them off then you get banned is all you need to know.

Frankly, I agree with you. Keys in general are always iffy in my book. At the very least, it should be made a choice while making the giveaway if it's a key or gift to make it clear with sorting options available for users.

Each have their own little stories. Some involve hacks, a surprising amount involve pretending to be Polish, one involved a glitch on an iphone game or something. Some are pretty freely available if people just go to Website X so they are banned when tools are like "I'm going to pretend that I'm generous and give away this free stuff!" I'd suggest asking why a specific one was banned if you want a specific answer.
