Steam now lets you disable announcements from groups.

same as friend and chat notifications

Wow thank you for making me aware of this, I don't care to be alerted to any announcement whatsoever with a pop-up even before you take into account all the random groups I joined over the years.

If it's not on a per group basis it's still useless.

This is nice, because there are games that go to desktop when receiving one of these announcements.

I don't mind notifications but the annoying event alerts, unfortunately they're both on the same option.

Still not enough but better than nothing. This is like DND feature right?
