Happy cake day!
I love hockey! I think the most exciting moment watching my sport was when I was a kid and we all got off class to watch the Canadian team beat USSR in the Summit Series back in 1972.
Yeah, I know I am old. It was a monumental day for Canadian Hockey Fans though, and if I remember right, just about everyone in the entire continent was tuned in. Schools everywhere set up TV's in gyms so the kids could see it. Best thing about it is I am a Toronto Maple Leaf fan and Paul Henderson scored the winning goal (He was a Leaf at the time). Edit: I hope Kessel does better for you guys than he did for us.

As you can see from my avatar, I also love watching hockey, although it is quite difficult watching it in Germany because of the time difference.
But Mario's comeback against your Maple Leafs in 2000 was the first hockey match I watched on TV and it was also a match I will never forget. ;)
I also know the summit series as I bought a DVD box with all the games a few years ago:

Yeah, I also hope all the best for Kessel. At least our offense looks pretty impressive on paper, so we will se what the season brings.

Oh, BVB gives bad memories to Juventus fans. I was young and I didn't know Borussia Dortmund. I was like "yeah, we're on CL final against this team i've never heard of. It's gonna be easier than Ajax". Juventus was the favorite team to win CL back then but Borussia Dortmund played so well. What a nightmare = ' (
Congratulations for your cake day
and congratulations for your 97' CL from a Juve fan = D

Thanks! Yeah, nobody expected us to win against a Juve team which was one of the best teams of the 1990s.
On the other hand, Juve came out on top in the 1993 UEFA Cup Finals. :-)

Yes haha
But now Borussia Dortmund is so strong and feared with Tuchel. You have a great chance of winning Bundesliga and Europa League.
Good luck with that = )
I hope Juve doesn't cross your way on Champions on next edition (IF only Juve gets there because this season is gonna be tough for us haha)

Thank you, it's always interesting to hear opinions from other supporters. But I think winning Bundesliga is out of reach, as Munich will have much more consistency throughout the season. I will be happy if we play attractive football and end up anywhere from 1 to 4 and ahead of Sch**** 04. ;-)
Juve doesn't have to be afraid of Borussia, as you are pretty tough to play against. Last season, you had our number, we were without any real chance in this matchup.

After having been to Hanover last Saturday where Borussia earned three important points, three more (public) giveaways were added ending on "19.09. 19:09 Uhr" (German Time) :-)))

Thanks, and congratulations on the win!
By the way, I just checked Dortmund's rooster again, what happened to Blaszczykowski/why did he get sold/loaned out?
Either way, in 2017 you'll meet my local team AIK in the finals! I've decided that, so it'll happen! Even if AIK haven't even been in CL since '99 and Swedish teams honestly are way too bad to play in the international scene, but we'll meet there then, you just wait! ;)

Thank you!
"Kuba" Blaszczykowski was loaned to Fiorentina, because it would have been difficult for him to earn playing time in Dortmund. "Kuba" wants to play for Poland in Euro 2016, so he needs first-team football.
Yes, AIK would be a really nice opponent. I was in Stockholm/Solna in 2013 for the Sweden-Germany qualifier (3-5) and had a really great time. I even bought an AIK shirt as a souvenir. :-)
If only beer wouldn't be that expensive in Sweden... :-(((

Ah, alright that explains it!
And nice that you bought an AIK shirt! Never thought I'd hear about someone outside of Sweden (apart from Africa) with one of those xD
Yeah, beer prices are insane compared to the rest of Europe, but there are still some few nice places where the beer is half the price, if you know where to look! (Of course "half the price" is still a lot more expensive than over there in Germany, haha)

As tomorrow is my first cake day here at SteamGifts, I want to say thank you to everyone here and want to give something back to the community.
Although I'm not too active writing in the discussions here as English is not my primary language, I like reading here a lot.
To celebrate my cake day, I created a nice, little train in which I also present some of the most exciting matches in recent history of my favourite football team - Borussia Dortmund.
I hope you enjoy the ride, thanks a lot for the nice time here! :-)))
Deutscher Meister wird nur der BVB!!!
Instead of the generic "thank you" messages, why don't you tell me about the most exciting games you saw with your favourite sporting team.
