fake flash player virus

I don't have adblock and don't have that problem. Surely is going to be a new virus still not databased by antivirus. If you know about computers keep checking your process list and your Chrome extensions/Firefox extensions/IE plugins.

I think it was malware as malware bytes found 2 things with the same name, not sure how i got it tho thats the strange bit, ty fior all suggestioons

Hmm? I don't have any sort of add-blocking software and I don't have this problem. Not a single Flash pop-up so far.

I use to get it all the time on my old laptop, no matter how much I tried I could never be rid of it.

is it a Salus ad virus thingy? i had it, just uninstall on control panel and if it's not there delete on programs and files (don't forget to finish the task on task manager before)

Check your installed program list in the Control Panel, and remove all unknown junk.
Then reinstall Adobe stuff from their website:
http://www.adobe.com/downloads.html

No issues for me; read this forum, within thirty seconds I get a new tab popping up recommending I upgrade Flash Player. Thanks for jinxing it OP.

Even if your antivirus doesn't detect them, some crappy browser hijacks might be on your computer.
Best way to get rid of these is to Ctrl+Alt+Del (then launch task manager if on Win7), and check your processes for suspicious ones. Then Google them to make sure, retrace their locations, delete them. Takes some time, but I fixed my sister's laptop that way. Most common ones are "Spigot", "Conduit", "Snap.Do", and there are many more. This list is pretty useful for finding them. If a task is titled with a similar name, it's most probably a hijacker.
