I wanted to offer myself as a translator (English>Spanish & German>Spanish) for free. So if any indie developer is reading this, don't hesitate and add me to steam.
I'm a professional translator with 5 years of experience looking for some experience in the videogame sector (until now I just did literary translation for editorials).

Or if anyone knows where should I post a message like this in order to reach the most indie developers as possible please let me know. Writing them one by one is too tiresome

regards

well... tbh a proper translator would only translate into his/her own native language. So I could do that as a hobby, but not as a professional ;)

If you're interested in doing free translations in your spare time, you can register yourself as a translator on ackuna.com and find projects you'd like to help with. It's a crowd-sourced translation service where volunteers help translating various projects in multiple languages.

I'm actually a teacher at secondary school. Have been doing translation for 5 years as a freelance. You can't expect to get money for a job you don't master. You can't. Not unless you are 100% certain you will deliver quality. That's why I need some practice in this sector.

Well, I suppose you can do whatever you like while you are not making the job that should be done by a professional who devotes his life to translation and can't pay the bills if he doesn't work.

Most of the indie developers who sell their games for 3€ can't afford a translation.
