As of now, I don't think you can do anything about it. However, next time if you get the steam news pop-up saying to pre-load in advance for a free weekend, you can go onto SG and sync your account before the free weekend starts, and it shouldn't auto-sync for another 7 days, if I'm not mistaken.

You can delete game files manually, that takes the game off your list.

I neither bought nor downloaded (nor do I already own) Payday during the Payday weekend and yet it still showed up in my Steam account for over a week. I'm just now able to enter giveaways again. So obviously that's not the solution. The best way to deal with it from an SG standpoint seems to be to either make sure your account is synced just before the free weekends like Monukai said, or maybe set your profile to private so that SG can't sync it automatically and then reset it to public after the free weekend is well over.

Is there any way to remove the L4D2 free weekend from my account?
I won't be able to take advantage of it this weekend and I don't want a repeat of Payday (which, by the way, steamgifts is saying is still in my account even though it got deleted from my library a few days ago)
What do I do?
