Witcher 3 for Steam can only be bought through steam I think, all keys are for GOG. Anyway, GOG mentions what platform the key is for, or if it was from the VIP page, just check the normal page on GMG for info on the key.

Maybe - just maybe - you should simply read the store page before buying something instead of blaming the shop for your ignorance.

Did it explicitly say it's a Steam key? If you file a complaint they might refund you although they may not be obliged to do so.
Btw, why is it so important for it to be on Steam?

To be honest, this one's kind of on you. You went in with the assumption that it was to be a Steam key and didn't double check it. I made the same mistake when I bought Kingdoms of Amalur and all its DLC from GamersGate, but I didn't get up in arms about it. Just take it as a lesson to be learned about double checking these things, else try to arrange a refund, assuming you have yet to redeem the key.

They didn't lie, you just didn't bother to check and made assumptions. There's kinda a big difference there :p

i dont see nothin wrong to use gog client, and the game is always the same game
