Hm, I bet I have the same decoding and have the same 120 wrong possibilities... I even threw in some different ways of reading, but non of them gave such a good result as the obvious one...
That's the problem with immediately finding an obvious solution... it's incredibly hard to think any other way... argh!

Well, I don't want to spoil to much, so this is gonna be hard... eh...
I had an idea for the yellow/black one that yielded 5 characters. Obvious ways of reading did not help so I just tried all combinations. that gives me 120 combinations. Guess I need to find another way to get the character or need an additional step of modification

didnt try all possible shuffles of the initial decoding after reading this post.
Although the hint(or whatever it may be) in the op leads to the expectation that the key is to read the puzzle in different ways i now gave up on that. I checked it 2 times now and there is no way to prevent the appearance of a Byte thats slips out of the normal ASCII range and therefore isnt a valid character anymore - if you read it apart from the intuitional way by using methods of rotation, inverting, reversed lines, coloumn-line flip. Thx for the puzzle though maybe i will try again once a hint appears or something like that.

On sidenote: I think I know in basic what to do, but I have either to decode the text better and I just have to find the correct "axis" (does this count as tip? I will deletet immediately then O.o)

sry if i have to be a little critical here but actually i am very sure that i usually read very precisely. And the keywords were as obvious as they were before he highlighted them. Anyone who can read wouldve noticed that he actually CHANGED the hint, which is even more confusing.
First Version: all the way up and down again -> so i am expecting i have to start at the bottom and go up first and even if that isnt true it implies that you have to go snake like -> up -> down -> up -> ...
Actual Version: left to right all the way top to bottom -> implies that you simply have to read it either line by line considering the order is right or column by column.

Nice puzzle. I got as far as the yellow & black and knew to make a bit pattern but then got stuck there. Didn't realize that you wanted ROT13. When you said spin spin spin 1 to 3 I tried stuff like flipping the bits of the first 3 rows or first 3 columns but of course that did not work.
Also, to me it would have made more sense if black was 0 and the yellow areas were ones, since 0 is generally associated with "off" and 1 with "on", so if you think in terms of light and dark it seems more intuitive that way.
