Normally you get: 1x Emoticon, 1x Background Picture, 1x Crappy Coupon, 100 XP
During summer and winter sales you get: 1x Emoticon, 1x Background Picture, 1x Summer/Winter Set Trading Card (usually set of 10), 100 XP

Since the special trading card is worth usually around €0.10 (the first ones are bound to be much more expensive, but prices usually settle within a few hours of the event starting) people wait till the sale to obtain those instead of random coupons.

0.1 was during winter event...during last summer when they had crafting competition on teams the sale cards were 0.4 each

I remember that event, it was my first big summer sale event. I'm fairly sure I have to disagree, during the first few hours prices would have dropped to below 0.2 for sure, I even bought lots of cards at lowest market price when the event was about to end and I'm pretty sure I didn't pay more than 0.15 at most.. so maybe I was a few cents off but I'm pretty sure it was nowhere close to 0.4 (I would never have bought cards at that price).
Maybe the cards were stable at 0.4 for a while where I haven't paid attention at all, but it still sounds weird to me.

yeah...they raised when the event have started from 0.25 to 0.4 and stayed there till last days when it dropped
l.e:ussualy in last days the cards always drop during sale cuz people sells them before they expire...so ussualy it's better to sell fast and buy later :D

What Dan just said.. otherwise there's no telling what they could make as a special event other than that, you can ask but nobody can tell you other than guessing based on previous sales experience.
