I made a private giveaway, entered the key for the potential winner, and... well, no one entered. So I thought I'd just take that key and make another giveaway later, but... I can't get to the key. Or I do not know how. There's no send key with option to show it or edit it because there's no winner. And I used cut instead of copy, as I never expected I'd need that key again.

While I may be able to find it on the source, where it was purchased, I think this is a bug of sorts, and we should be able to see the key entered even after the giveaway has been closed without a winner.

Hmm, interesting. Perhaps you should contact support about the issue?

I don't think support can do much about this bug/feature, this is the job for cg and this is forum category bugs/suggestions, so...

Am I REALLY the only one who doesn't keep the keys in Notepad as a middle-program?

I keep all my keys in excel...with the cells highlighted different colors based on where I got them, red text if they've been used, and the dates of when i got them. It's very nice haha

That's useful, as long as you don't CTRL+X them.

Doesn't Google keep a history of everything you ever did with your life since you created the account? There MAY be a way.

Maybe I should contact NSA and ask them if they have a record of me copy/pasting a steam key from gmail to steamgifts ;)

You have a VERY good chance for that if you are an American citizen with a criminal record or a muslim.

That is what I would do. CG can take a look and find the key you put in. Of course, cg is rarely online.... P

File a Support ticket under the dreaded category of "Other." Make the first line about what you want ("I need a reminder of my key"), then follow that up with an explanation and link to the giveaway.

P.S. (Make sure and keep a record of your keys until you are sure they are redeemed.)

if that a key, just head back to where you buy them, you must take it from somewhere before pass it right ?

yeah, but I had two keys and used one myself and the other was for a giveaway and I have no idea where I bought which key and which one is which.

It does not actually matter as it is not a really popular game apparently, but I think this is a matter worth looking into so I opened this topic.

It was a hidden giveaway for users who are lucky/smart enough to notice it. I could not advertise it, couldn't I?

Every now and then... that's why I made the topic, it's a serious issue to leave a key and lose it if there's no winner.

In my case it's a small bundled game, but tomorrow I might want to make a puzzle with GTAV and make it hard... and well, It would be a problem to lose that key, wouldn't it?
