Not enough puzzles lately, so I figured I'd make my own.

I doubt you'll solve it, but go right ahead.

Oh, and there are five giveaways at the end. They're only up for one week from now.

I should note that this ends at 16:00 GMT, October 14th. Or at least that's what I recall setting them to...?

EDIT: I've added three additional hints since the puzzle began.

No more clues?
All i know is that: The first word can be translated to "Evil", the second one is a hazardous chemical, Vinyl chloride, and the third part is the audible human frequency. That plus the image of a toothbrush....

Pizza?

Well, might be wrong for the puzzle, but a dictionary of Latim clearly translates the word in a lot of others, depending on it's use. It can be:

evil
injury
disaster
calamity
damage
mischief
ailment
Ill
hurt
wrong
apple
harm

That, or i can't use a dictionary at all. I am not a very good detective D:

The thing is, how many words are we suppose to write? Is it case sensitive? Does the charade support "Similar" descriptions to the correct answerer?

OP is simply saying you have a bad case of pizza breath.

I got apples, PVC, hearing frequency.

Was thinking of an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Was thinking of Lewis (the physical chemist) then juice....annnd I give up, I dunno how they all tie together without more information ;\

Got something for the toothbrush, the apple and the human audible frequency, but no idea how pvc matches this.
I'll try it tomorrow again.

Btw. "I doubt you'll solve it, but go right ahead."
I don't think that he will give us any more hints...

I never could do puzzles. All I've got is:

1:malum is turkish for Inevitable
2:Vinyl Chloride, which is an toxic chemical used as an intermediary in things like PVC.
3:like blacklion said, the audible human frequency.

The toothbrush i have no idea.

The big problem here is that we don't quite know what we are suppose to be looking for. Is it a single word? He does say "what i'm referring to", so, it might be a object / activity, something like that. However, we don't know if it's a one word thing, or a 10 word phrase.

This is a very, very tricky thing.

First the Toothbrush and the Toothpaste. That alone, i get nothing besides the obvious "Good for health" and "Every-day task" thing.

The second word, could very well be apple. It can also be any of the other ones i've said above.

The (C2H3Cl)n thing, if he didn't just copy paste it from the internet without knowing exactly what he was looking for, it could be a lot of things, but the main one is Vinyl Chloride, which is not related to toothpaste in anyway i can see.

The last one is the audible human sound frequency, although he can also be just using that as a way of saying "Frequency".

One good example that would combine all but the Chemical and Toothpaste thing is the well-known "One Doctor a day, keeps the apple away" phrase. Don't waste your time, that's not the answer.

This is one of a hell of a hard puzzle indeed. Merging them all together, can be done by their direct meaning, or it can be done by their "supposed" meaning.

For example, one thing that could be used to join everything is "Not brushing your teeth frequently can be harmful". It joins everything in a way that:

  • Directly uses the Toothpaste and Toothbrush as a tool;
  • Uses the Chemical and the latim word as a way of saying "Harmful"
  • Uses the Sound Frequency as a way of saying "Frequent".

I Know, a totally missed shot in the dark with very little to back it up.

And, you know, Mãlum can also be Turk for "Inevitable" like said above, and is a direct more correct translation unlike the Latim one.

Let's hear more ideas, brain is melting over here haha!

You guys that are saying that (C2H3Cl)n is Vinyl Chloride... I'm not so sure about that. From what I learned in chemistry, which wasn't much but still, molecular formulas always start with a capital letter. C2H3Cl is indeed Vinyl Chloride, but what about the n at the end? (C2H3Cl)n probably means something else...

C2H3Cl = Vinyl Chlorid
(C2H3Cl)n = PVC

"There's just one "question" here. Can you figure out what I'm referring to?"
Clearly the correct answer is "no". But it's not working. :(

vinyl + sound = old-fashioned audio record albm.
mālum as apple -> Apple is the Beatles' record label.
There's some toothbrush-related Beatles artwork.

And that's where I don't know if I'm on the right track, or just following insane troll logic

But Apple of Eden could also be a religious thing, doesn't necessarily need to be from Assassin's creed.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It could, but that's more "forbidden fruit" than specifically an apple. Then again, if we were wrong with apple and it meant evil then this could fit better, especially since the notion that the forbidden fruit was an apple likely came from a misunderstanding of the Latin word for evil when saying "The Tree of Good and Evil" (The Tree of Good and Apple). OP said that it didn't mean evil in this case though. Hence Apple of Eden from Assassin's Creed, since it doesn't say anywhere in the Bible that the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil was an apple and I don't see where else it could apply.

OP never said that it didn't mean evil, Naub24 did... So it could still mean that.

Still this could be a lot of things, there's simply not enough clues

Moreover there are opinions that the actual tree in question was "The Tree of Life" and its fruit being "immortality". This however could be completely irrelevant to this puzzle.

It's also not about Yuuki Tenpouin nor the Code:Breaker manga and anime.

It might be about Batman, though, because apparently only the Dark Knight Detective will be able to solve this one but probably won't. Why would a smart, crazy billionaire waste two seconds of his time for the probability of winning a game he could buy ten million times over but probably not have time to play?

Sorry, got off topic for a sec.

I don't know what to tell you, I believe all the hints point in the direction of what I'm asking about. It's a thing - and yet it's not, because it's also a verb. A single word - though I do allow for answers containing many words, for it is also commonly known as a phrase.

There, that's all you'll get. For now, anyway...

The puzzle means "Apple is a natural toothbrush that refers to the Beatles that refers to the Apple Studio they recorded Let It Be, Apple Studio that refers to the Grapefruit that was an unknown band (for me) as the Beatles."

However, I still have no idea what the PVC and the Plaid shirt are doing here. Thanks for the hints. :D

EDIT: "PVC is the vinyl that refers to a song"
So is the Plaid shirt, why u here?
