Server Problems?

Well, to be honest... SteamGifts are down for me for like 3/4 of a day, what is happening?

Well there are 2 issues. One is the site getting too much traffic. There also seems to be an issue that whenever Steam store/steam community is down, steamgift goes down as well. I'm assuming it has something to do with how steam openID works.

hence the 2 separate issues. It for sure goes down when there's a lot of traffic. I'm not disagreeing there.

it was down at like 10AM today for me, I doubt that there was high amount of traffic :P

site has many users who aren't in Poland, so I'm sure 10am in poland isn't that busy, but it can be busy for everyone else around the world.

10-11AM here in Poland is not busy time for USA for example.

I'm mostly joking, btw, don't let the f-bomb throw you off... but seriously, the site went down, maybe from so much traffic? Could be? Not worth arguing.

It was down for me several times from 12pm (PST) until now (4:30), so yeah, I'm assuming it was heavy traffic.

well, maybe I've overreacted. I'm not trying to start flame wars. Just be sure that I know that when there's 10AM then everywhere over the world the time is different ;)

A while ago it seemed to be down for some regions, as I was able to access it using proxy, but was not able to normally. I say, DNS issues.

If you are not sure next time (if its just you or other people too) go here: http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ and type in SteamGifts.com and hit enter, it will tell you whether its down or not.

I believe it's down for everybody when it's... down ;) These are server problems, not our ISP's.
