I was using openload to watch some streams and after installing malwarebytes i get the message that it uses a trojan and upon further research some websites say that openload uses a mine program to mine cryptocurrency. someone has any knowledge about it`? is it true and how can i use it and prevent it from mining with my pc? i nstalled minerblock for it but i dont know if it helps.

how can i use it and prevent it from mining with my pc?

Uninstall it and then run a deep scan on your pc with a good anti-malware tool like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

i am using a web based stream. so every time i use it malwarebytes blocks it. but i dont know if it really mines anything. and is there a way i can use the openload stream without allowing it to mine? or do i need to use a different hoster?

quick google search landed me with this article, maybe check to be sure you're using a legit program (and maybe find an alternative instead?)

i found the exact same article. i used openload for a very long time and never had any suspicions until now. malwarebytes blocks it. it had really good stream quality. alternatives are not so good. do you think mineblock prevents it from mining and i can still watch with it?

It's become a bad habit indeed to push coin miners via web content. I haven't seen it on openload though. In fact it's much more likely that it's a false positive, because openload has been on the blacklist of the MPAA for years. In fact, I would recommend montoring cpu and gpu usuage. If there's a coin miner running on a website, it's very likely you'll know when the cpu spikes up by a few hundred percent. Other than that I found out that addons like "Block miners" (https://mybrowseraddon.com/block-miners.html) or "No Coin" block most miners effectively (since they all have in common that they need to connect somewhere, e.g. coinhive), while still being able to use the related website.
