Heh, where do you live if you don't mind sharing? I always thought Christmas on a beach would be an odd concept. But I am from Canada, and I am used to a couple feet of snow for Christmas, it just feels weird otherwise :)

I live in Australia, where everyone lives on the coast because the other 75% of the place is desert.
Having snow and eating turkeys during Christmas feels weird to me.
What do you do after the eating to burn off the calories.
Virtually everyone here plays a good old game of backyard cricket.

We have the family come togheter...
And while my mother is arguing about the food, my grandfather is bashing on the head of my grandmother with a kettle.
Me and my uncle sing: "peaceful night, quite night" as loud and out of tone we can...
AAAAH Christmas...
Brings back memories...

Ya I hate christmas. I'm always busy because of them. Ya know - shopping cleaning and stuff. It takes weeks just to celebrate 1 day ;_;
And Christmas in my country looks this way: We are celebrating Christmas at 24 dec with closest family (ya know parents and children basicly). We wait for first star to occur into the sky (inb4 sun). After the dinner we r getting gifts and then some people go to church at midnight. Next day we usually meet with rest of the family. People who believes in Christ and weren't in church at midnight are going to church this day. And then nothing more special. We got one more work-free day (it's 26 dec) and then we just wait till New Year Eve ^^
PS. I'm from Poland

So, I've been busy as hell lately thanks to having 25 relatives visiting me in Singapore, then flying back to Davao, Philippines.
I'm probably going to stay busy for some time - Philippine Christmas is one hell of a season. Parties, greetings, family gatherings left and right, toooons of festivities.
What's Christmas like for you in your country?
Oh and yes, this is just a way of keeping face.
Edit: Oooops, forgot to mention what we actually do on Christmas Day.
Well, on the 24th, early evening, clans gather up and go to church. After, Nochebuena is prepared by 11pm-12am. Usually a big feast, almost always including hamonada, embutido, queso de bola, and, for really big gatherings involving relatives and stuff, lechon!
Then after feasting, everyone opens gifts, and on the morning of 25th, family usually goes to mass again.
