Far Cry Blood Dragon ALWAYS uplay? also steam version?

so if i get this off a retailer or steam, do they both need uplay still?

then i cannot ignore uplay :(

When you play it on Steam it needs UPlay.

If the back of a PC game says Uplay.. (assassins creed brotherhood for ex), Can you play it on steam as well ? or strickly Uplay

If you are purchasing a retail boxed copy, odds are it's strictly uPlay.

If you buy it off of Steam, or purchase a Steam key from another site, it's uPlay AND Steam.

Why do they need to require a Uplay client even though it is sold on Steam. Does Ubisoft get money when people use the Uplay client or something?

its drm same way dawn of war II on steam needs windows live too, it part make life harder for pirates part make people install ubi's client

Ubisoft their way to annoy people.

Somehow I'm not that mad (anymore), atleast they still release their games on Steam, that's something (compared to EA -_-'). and the 'Uplay lite' client isn't that bad tbh, it's not as bad as the 'full' uplay imo :p

You cant boot your steam games through the full Uplay if I recall correctly. You have to start them through STeam, then it shows some kind of 'uplay lite' thing where you have to login to uplay and press play.

My Far Cry 3 key couldn't get redeemed through the full uplay client, only the uplaylite client accepted it. Once redeemed: I still didn't see my steam uplay games on the full Uplay client. Maybe it changed recently but this is how it was a while ago.

I bought it and used the pirate crack so I didn't have to sign up for Uplay. Redundant? More like RADundant! YEAHH
