I hate that my main had its information stolen for such a long time that I had to make a new one then one day, Steam support was able to recover it. Now my girlfriend looks like she's been on steam longer than I have.

Allright, here is my guess:

They are gonna release the next Source engine!

Doesnt sound like much? Hell, it will change the world! With Steam beeing the largest plattform for the evergrowing indie-games-market, they´ll probably follow the example of the Unity engine and make it accessable for free or at least VERY cheap and directly connected to the steam-plattform. You can work together on a project and send assets and code-snippets directly to your team or even work within a cloud-enviroment. You can access the overhauled Steam-Workshop as an Asset-Store to buy and sell models, music, soundeffects, textures etc.. you can buy all kinds of programms and tools from the Steam-appstore and you can make your beta-version easily accessible to those who are willing to test it.. and when its all finished, of course, you can distribute the game over the steam plattform. They could even upgrade the Greenlight project to a fullblown crowdfunding plattform. Funding, developement and distribution - all in one place!

And yeah, I´m making that all up.. but it would just be too great and change the world of gaming forever.

I honestly don't expect anything at all. I hope they're gonna do something, but I doubt it. If anything, possibly something like Portal free like for 8th birthday (I think).
