I'm trying to make a few giveaways. I've got a game that says it won't work in China and the Russian Federation. Is the Russian Federation the same as RU+CIS? I didn't think it was geographically the same thing but I haven't seen a region lock for RU without the CIS before. I tried to find what the key might be in the SteamDB thing but couldn't find one that looked like it. Does anybody happen to know what this is about to save me guessing?

Russia is 'officially' known as the Russian Federation (so says Wikipedia), so I think it'll be safe to treat it the same.

Yeah, that was what I understood. I'm just wondering if I have to include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine as I haven't seen a Russian lock without them...

RU (Russia) = RF(Russian Federation). CIS are some of countries wich mostly were as part of USSR before it gone. So, CIS contain some of countries where one of it's RU.
RU's costs are different from most part of other countries in CIS and it is one of some reasons why RU have unique region lock.
Where're big chance winner will be russian if GA for RU+CIS but it's better way to warn about RU-only I guess in giveaway's description.
