G2A.COM Limited canceled your automatic payments. This means we'll no longer automatically draw money from your account to pay the merchant. If you have any questions, you may ask G2A.COM Limited about this cancellation.

Here's the information:

Billed to: PayPal Balance
By: G2A.COM Limited
For: G2A Shield subscription
About the automatic payment G2A.COM Limited canceled:

Amount to be paid each time: €1.30 EUR
Billing cycle: Monthly
Payments start: Sep 9, 2015

Here is the e-mail I've received. I don't understand. Do I have to pay 1.30€ each month, and for what??? The G2A shield is disabled. I don't want to pay them anything since I don't know what that is for.

If you used G2A shield even once, it bills monthly. It's really nasty. Just let it cancel and you should be good to go- if you check your paypal balance and see they've withdrawn money in the past contest it and see if you can get a chargeback.

It says "€0.00 EUR Canceled" in the pre-approved section, but I don't understand. If it's canceled, why does it tell me I'll pay 1.30€ monthly? It's disabled on G2A.

It's probably cancelled because you didn't have balance when the billing cycle was due, so it canceled your subscription so you won't pay in the future.

If you ever did even a single transaction with G2A shield it will charge, so even if it's currently disabled it would still potentially bill you.

That's probably the information about the bill that has been cancelled.

If you canceled, you should not be charged, if you are charged, contact G2A and they'll refund you most likely.

Also forgot, there is an option to cancel any preapproved recurring payments on PayPal, explore the settings page and you'll find it.
If you cancel the preapproval this way, even if G2A does not, they won't be able to charge you!

G2A

And I will keep saying that no one should use that crappy gray market site. As far as I know, the G2A illegal insurance (or "shield") is something that you have to pay every month. Just listen to SquireZed and let it cancel, if you have any problem, contact Paypal ;)

Well I've used G2A to buy a few games, and never really had any problems with them, and it's a great site (In my opinion, don't kill me D:) to sell some games for profit. It says it's cancelled but the wording is quite poor and I can't figure out if it means it's cancelled for NOW and will charge me next month or whatever. I never even used G2A shield, except for the free trial thing.

So I guess your trial period has passed in which case it automatically charges you for the next month if you didn't cancel it before the end of your trial period. Like someone has already mentioned, you should be able to cancel it through paypal and make sure this shield is also disabled on their website too. However and please don't get me wrong, not to play a devil's advocate here, but you should also take into consideration that once you disable this shield, you are practically agreeing with that they can simply refuse to help you if you receive a bad key, or you have other issues with your purchase, because the keys are not sold by them directly, they are only a man in the middle so to speak, so it's a risk you take when you disable it, so in my opinion this "shield" is kinda a blackmailing technique for them to draw more money from you for protection.

On paypal it says it's canceled, I went to the preapproved transactions and that feature is off. I don't know where on paypal I can cancel that, and it's arleady canceled on the site. It says it's canceled on Paypal but it also says that money is "outstanding", and it also says that that means it's overdue or something.

Also there is no difference between pay for its activation or don't pay, because the EU laws protects you (as a consumer) during the buy. Is just pure crap and a way to steal some cents from you. Stay away from that crappy site, thats my only advice.

G2A is registered in Hong Kong though, so good luck trying to enforce EU consumers laws there…

Its not the first time they had to return the money even with the shield off.

Their only way of keeping in business if they make people spread the "good word" themselves since their reputation is already pretty shady. So they naturally try to ensure customer satisfaction. They are not different than any other black market in this regard. if you could only get bad merchandise or get continuously ripped off at the grey/black market, nobody would ever use it.

Why do people keep using shady places such as G2A? This is mindblowing...

What is so bad about it? People use cd key sites and crap as well to get games a bit cheaper. The only reason why I use it is to sell a few games that I don't need, for example from the telltale bundle. Legit copies, of course.

Thank you. Says cancelled and "outstanding balance" in my last transactions list. Also says it's been denied because I luckily don't have enough at the moment. Also says recurring payment to g2a canceled, I should be good then? One thing that worries me it says under outstanding balance, under the What's this? button, "The total for non-automatically billed payments that are overdue or haven't been paid in full".

Does this mean I'll have to pay once I have enough?

you probably had to pay for last month or something like that. Not really sure how it works for g2a but for mmos, if you dont have enough funds to pay for that month, sub is automatically cancelled. Not sure if thats how g2a shield works though, but most subs work for month in advance, so once you dont have enough money during next billing cycle it should automatically stop.

Or maybe g2a just lets you keep their shield and charges you when you have money on your account, but thats not how it usually works though :P

I bought only some removed games there and removed the shield thing from my basket.

i didn't know that if you buy 1 game there with shield that you are subscriving to something monthly?

if I recall correctly I only see the shield icon with a box you can tick and untick.

My advice ditch G2A even it seems magical candyland. Since it's no better than stranger adding you for a trade.

Secondly disable automatic payments within PayPal, not G2A nor any other place. This way you do not need their approval or w/e.

I do not see the problem ..hell i would take it as a sign and run from this site...

though i doubt you will just as many others that came before you, just to save a buck ..i do not get it,though i suppose the allure to save a back is just to great, funny thing is a stranger in real life was to offer you sweet candy to enter his van you would not seeing how he would seem a bit shady and untrustworthy...but people go to these places all the time and they are not better.

yeah its all doom and gloom, imo. and lets not mention some people are just greedy and want to buy a $20 game for $5. Why on earth should they do that and not pay $20 instead is beyond me though.

To save 15$ which is 75% of the price for something else? A different game, sweets, gift for someone, gas, food, cinema, whatever?

Can you tell me EXACTLY what's wrong with G2A? None of this "ITS SHADY HURR DURR ITS GRAY MARKET". I know I'll get a lot of hate but I frankly don't care so much, I just want you to tell me exactly what's wrong with G2A, other than there's a possibility that you'll be given a bad key that doesn't work or get a chargeback, which CAN HAPPEN ON STEAMTRADES, as well. Thank you for your time.

AND MIGHT I ADD, to my shame, that I got scammed recently by using Steamtrades. Not a fault of the site itself, or anyone on there, apart for the asshole impersonator who took me off guard. Had I opted for what I initally wanted to do, which is sell it on G2A, I would earn a bit money for a future purchase.

Well i could tell you but you seem to answer your own question but then tell me to say it is for that reason.

How can ask me to say whats wrong with it when your going to pick and chose what i can answer with.

There is the fact that they are not authorized to resell keys...

Also a site that has to offer you a Shield protection or offer no support is just shady as all hell, they reap the rewards of the money but do not want to take none of the risk unless you pay them to do so lol

They also re-sell bundle keys from humble and so on,after buying in bulk...

I mean why waste my time though as it seems no matter what i say it will not be a good enough answer as you have invalidated some of my answers already.

Bottom line is they have been knowing to sell stolen keys,re-sell bundle keys,or other shady means....and they do little to police there market, and demand you to pay for them to protect your purchase...regardless if it is direct from them or the market, they still run the site so they are still repsonsible for what goes on

If you have to pay to get support in case something you paid for on there site is not what it suppose to be that should be enough merit on its own that they are shady. In other words they are telling they are glad to take your money but unless you pay a small fee up front if you get scammed all well to bad...

You might well just trust some random dude on Steam trade all the same....i should not have to pay money to get my money back on a site that is legit and selling keys.Ebay does not tell me if i do not pay a fee that if someone scams me i am SOL.
