The Lost Vikings is one of my favorite games of all time until this day. Can I please have some recommendations of similar games (as in, witty, beautifully crafted puzzle games). Please, if you feel like mentioning Trine or Portal, you have completely lost the point. (hint: bad games)

Trine/Trine 2 are great games! What are you saying! ;)
Have you ever played the sequel of The Lost Vikings?
[EDIT] So much trolls, I feel sorry for you.

Boring, boring design. I finished Trine (including extra stages) feeling like I had completely wasted my time.

I didn't play the sequel yet, but I'm planning to. I remember when I tried to play it through a SNES emulator it ran kind of badly on my computer so I put it aside.

Okay. I didn't play the original Trine either. Just the sequel, which I loved. ^_^

I hear it's more of the same so I never got around to playing it because I feel it'll be a disappointment.

IMO it was very pretty and slightly better, but mostly more of the same.

Ever see this in the Lost Vikings 2 level passwords?

14 B3SV
15 R3TO
16 DRNK
17 YOVR
18 OV4L
19 T1N3

Discovered it when I was recording passwords as a kid. I had never even heard the phrase at the time.

I didn't play much of TLV2 due to it running poorly on an emulator back when I tried it. What phrase do you mean?

Which version of The Lost Vikings did you play? From my understanding, the Mega Drive version included some extra levels. I loved it back in the day.

I played the DOS one. I'll check out the Mega Drive version for the extra levels you mention.

I played the PS2 version. I guess it could be considered similar...

Was it fun?

I stopped after two or three levels because of glitches (that are potentially fixed on the PC release). It was okay. A third person shooter with a number of puzzles that used the skills of your 4 characters.
