Transistor is a second game from Supergiant Games also known for Bastion. The studio is somewhat known for it pastel loving art style, solid soundtracks and using voice acting. The game has sweet story, nice gameplay, is a gentle hug to eyes and ears and is well received. Is there some specific reason why you haven't yet visited the city? Would you like to travel with Red?

vibrant journey with action and art.
propaganda ridden trip to hell.

I did, and it was beautiful.
A new track got released when they had the release on Apple TV which I didn't find out about until recently.
I should replay it someday soon.

It wasn't in the original sound track.
This was a special they released when Transistor came out for the Apple TV.

But this song is so very beautiful. It should be in official OST or at least some way to buy/download it..

I got it from Playstation+ but since 2 of my buddies both got stuck near the end I was a little nervous about the difficulty. Probably will give it a try once I'm done with AC Unity & Bastion.

Lol this is easy game (unless you will be using all limiters - things that increasing difficult like idols from Bastion).

I'd like to travel with Red, yes. I played Bastion and while I loved the art style and the narrator gimmick, the rest of the game didn't really impress me that much. I think the combat is the biggest flaw Bastion has though, it's not really fun, at least it wasn't for me and I'm someone who loves hack & slash games.

I do like Transistors combat system, at least based on what I've seen in videos so I'd probably enjoy that game a lot more than Bastion.

I never really though of Bastion as a hack & slash game myself but I can see why some may not like the combat. I enjoyed it but I found I needed the right setup of what weapons to use and stuff that fit my play style to really enjoy it. Then again.. I've beaten the game multiple times so I suppose I obviously enjoyed it.

I loved Bastion's combat. That game was the whole package to me.

Transistor's combat, by comparison, actually got pretty repetitive quite quickly for me.

I don't own it and haven't wanted it bad enough to buy for the price I've seen it. Additionally, I don't know too much about it, but definitely looks like something I'd like to try. Hence the wishlist.

Probably buying from the next sale, if the discount is okay.

Transistor is absolutely incredible.
I played it on PS4 when it given away on PS+ and god damn if it's not one of the best games they've given.
The soundtrack is nothing short of amazing, Paper Boats is so good.

Looking forward to Supergiant's next game for sure, they've definitely proven they pump out quality

Is on my wishlist, have heard literally nothing but good things. The combat is different than what I was expecting but seems interesting. Thanks for the chance. :)

I was quite hyped, love the artstyle (loved bastion), but man did I hate that combat. Did not continue playing after an hour.

I want to play it since I really liked Bastion but my backlog is immense and I don't have enough time so I postpone buying it :)

I gave my copy away instead. Will probably pick it up again in the next Steam sale.

The first time I didn't play it, my laptop was literally unable to even get it to start. When I moved onto my current desktop, I tried it out and played for a few hours...but then the game froze, and then did this over and over in the same spot every time I rebooted (trying to troubleshoot eventually lead to my desktop not even booting up and had me messing around with the RAM). Since then, I haven't tried it because I'm too afraid of the computer freezing and imploding on itself again. :(

I played it a bit, and while it is gorgeous to look and listen to, there wasn't much of a game in there. Very repetitive and the not very deep foundation on which the game is built didn't allow for that luxury, in my opinion.
