Giftable copy of Batman Arkham City if I already own it?

I already own the non-GOTY version of Batman: Arkham City.

If I purchase the GOTY edition of it and add it directly to my games library, do I get an additional copy of the game (non-GOTY?) to giveaway since I already own the base game?

If not, when I purchase the game and add it to my inventory, can I choose to only add the GOTY DLCs to my game library hence leaving me with a giftable copy of the base game?

If there's a way to obtain a giftable copy, I'll be giving it away on SteamGifts :)

When you purchase a GOTY edition of a game you already own, your base game gets replaced by the GOTY package and you don't get a copy of that game (there are some exceptions to this, they are written down in steam store page).

Goty editions are generally a single game, so no, you cannot activate only the DLC as they are a "pack".

No, there is no way to obtain a giftable copy in your case.

No, the GOTY is a seperate entry in your library so you'll end up with Arkham City and Arkham City GOTY in your library.

Your sure about this? When I added Dungeon Defenders+DLC when I already owned the base game, it just added the DLC to my existing game. I did not receive an extra copy unfortunately but I expected that.
