Hi all! Just a question on (losing) contributor value.

My contributor value has changed. I lost some of it. Why would that be?

I thought it had happened to me once before also, but wasn't sure and thought maybe my mind was messing with me and I mis-remembered my original value. But this time, it did it for sure. My value was $199 and some cents. Which I know because there were a few giveaways set for $200 contributors, which I couldn't enter, so I was like "Aww, so close!". My last giveaway was a week ago also. And I checked my value last night, and it was still $199.

But today it dropped to $188.30. So I lost about $11 or so. Just wondering what happened. No one has changed their gift status to not received. So I didn't lose it that way. After a week it just decided to lower on me..

Thanks!

Survivor Squad being added to the bundle list now that the keys are available, with the bundle start date.

Ahh, gotcha. Is there a time frame between when you do a giveaway and when a game CV drops? Or even if a game I submitted a year ago is added, it'll change my CV?

the starting point is ALWAYS when bundle starts. so if game was unavaiabvle on steam, and got later released and they have sent keys - all GAs for this game ever will count as a bundle.

On the other hand if you now give away game avaiable on Steam and in few months it will become bundled - you will not lose any CV.

You don't "buy" contributor value (CV) by giving away games here or own CV in any way. CV is just an estimation of the value of the games you have given away in the past based on current prices on Steam, and if the price of something you've given away changes then your CV will change accordingly.

I would imagine that one of the games you have given away in the past has had a permanent price drop.
