Woo! (been refreshing like mad to finally start playing my wins so they count for this :3) Going to start soon! Not sure if I want to participate in the giveaway again, as I've already played Black Flag and playing it again, but with drastically reduced FPS doesn't seem like a fun idea. But going to try completing the challenge anyway!

Edit: doesn't seem like I'm on track this month, so I will probably not enter any more of the games this month.

Thanks to Zeus that you decided not to make Death Stranding 2 or First Light giveaway, I can safely skip the challenge this month, but as always thank you CJ and good luck to all participants :)

Oh wow. And I'm going on vacations tomorrow so it's going to be kids games and party games for 2 weeks!
I hope I can make up the slack in the last 10 days or so.

Well here I go. Better late than never! It'll be shortish games though but luckily I have loads of those waiting.
The Procession to Calvary was damn hilarious. As a point & click, it's a rather standard fetch quest/puzzle fair with clever puzzles but nothing that would be an issue for someone who is not used to that genre. The Monty Python vibe is evident and well used in every possible way with updated references (to Steam reviews for example or Paypal) and it's a guaranteed good time.

Jusant was a bit more of a drag to finish than I anticipated. The gameplay is fine but I was bent on getting as much exploring as I could in this one run to get most of the collection achievements and that got me a little lost in places so it dragged on. The end part was cool though.

Blanc was such a cute little co-op game. My nephew and niece took turns controlling the second character and it was a fun little game experience for all. It's rather simple in terms of co-op puzzling and mechanics but it's utterly charming, short and ultimately rewarding. Someone got all teary-eyed at the ending and wanted to play the game again right away... but the kids were moving on so I'll play it again with my gf lol

Red Lantern is one of those games I have been delaying for years because the RNG factor made me a little anxious and now that I played it, I can say there was absolutely no reason for it... (yay! I made it! I can see the cabin... killed by a bear 300 m from final destination after 5 run starving....)
Jokes aside it's a really cool game. The runs will get repetitive once I try to get more achievements I'm sure but so far, it's been fun and beautiful and only mildly anxiety-generating. Managed to finish the trip in 7 runs... damn that bear!
Good thing there is no chance to 100% the game with that one journal completion broken. Thanks devs!

Two days and 2 games to go. Time to get those Monster Prom games installed. My completion rate is going to be so mad at me but it's all worth it.
And then maybe Streets of Rage 4 or Evan's Remains.

Monster Camp is just as funny as Monster Prom but damn those achievements are hard to get! I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering the number of achievements with less than 1% completion. I'll still do a few more hours, see if I can scare up the requirements for events to get a few more achievements but I doubt I'll be even trying to 100% it like Monster Prom.

I picked Evan's Remains to end the month and I kinda regretted it. I get what they were trying to do and the puzzle platforming was fun, as was the premise but the writing was not good and the dialog went on and on with the endless click click click to get to the next line. The ending was a lot of exposition and then it's over. If you stay until the end of the credits (they're long), you get an achievement and a secret scene.

Eh, I have time, so let's try it again.

1. The Ambassador: Fractured Timelines- Jan 2021 - "Forever Fractured" achievement - Beaten

5. Caravan SandWitch - Oct 2025 - Achievements - Completed
6. Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator - Nov 2024 - "Seasoned Gardener" achievement - Beaten

1. Ambassador - very weak gameplay overall. Interesting enemy designs try to make up for it in the latter part of the game, but it was overall pretty bland and boring game with nice boss battles (they're actually fun!). Achievement hunting for time trial achievements spiced things up while doing it without endgame equipment, but using it trivialized it, once more bringing the game down a notch.
2. A Case of Distrust - really cool. Unironically puts you in the shoes of a detective and makes you have a crack at investigating a case in 1920s prohibition noir setting. I could hear the vacuum cleaner sweeping through so many cobwebs in my skull while playing ^_^;
3. Size Matters - actually more fun than I expected. Frantic puzzle solving along with resource management and some platforming while being miniaturized turned out to be a really engaging mix.
4. Procession to Calvary - absurd humor powered by art. Made me feel artistically dumb for knowing I won't notice even a tenth of the visual gags, but overall humor was still so good that I had fun nonetheless :P
5. Caravan Sandwitch - a really good game with some really big issues. In reverse to what I said about Ambassador above, this is a good game issues of which try to drag it down in the latter part of the game. Wonderful visuals, humor in dialogues, driving around in a van is fun...
   but then van driving aint perfect either, and you can feel it. The exploration has been butchered by requiring you to do it in small chunks by arbitrary stuff blocking your way in nearly every location. The story follows the Firewatch issue, where tension and lack of explanation carry first 90% of the story, only for reveal to sound like a wet fart in comparison. And of two endings the good one has all the benefits of bad one, and none of its problems. Not a real choice tbh, and that's why I actually preferred the bad ending. At least it gave what it promised. Truth for risk. The better ending is just truth and no risk, despite promising no risk and no truth. Ugh..
   I really like this game, but its issues are very offputting.
6. Garden Life - I'm more of a tomato garden guy rather than flowery garden person. Well, somehow the long grind of the game, alongside figuring out some ways to game the system turned it into a meditative experience of watching the numbers go up.

i somehow skipped ac4 when it first released, so i'm really looking forward to eventually playing this one.
