why is there no way to see both new AND open giveaways?

I select new and half of them are already closed, which it's ridiculous people are doing 10 minute giveaways, but that's not the point.

A giveaway cannot last under an hour, so no one is making any 10 minutes giveaway.

New only lists the ones that were made recently, like in the last 24 hours I think.

What happens if you are creating a giveaway, set the ending time to 1 hour later, and wait for 50 minutes then confirm the creation?

You get an error message saying the giveaway cannot start in the past.

Really? I heard that it would create a "less then an hour" giveaway. Maybe it was false rumors. Maybe it became fixed.
Although I think I sometimes created a 57 minute giveaway while double checking the details for a while.
Could you show me an image of the error message?

I'm pretty sure it allows around a 5 minute delay window with the start date... though I'm not sure what would happen if you leave it at the confirmation stage for a while and then try to finish creating the giveaway after the point where it will last for way less than an hour... should give the same error... hold on checking, brb in half an hour or so. :P

EDIT: Yep, it gets you back to the creation page with this there.

It used to work but it was fixed about a year ago.

If you try to start your giveaway in the past you get this

I'm guessing the complaint is "I can't check only the giveaway which I haven't already seen." which is probably what the New tag is for as it sorts giveaways by their creation time rather than ending time but does not sensor already closed giveaways like the Open tag.

So a better way to phrase it is "Why isn't there an New Open Giveaways option?" like the title suggests.

To the OP- you may wanna ask support about that rather than asking on the forum. :P

It's already something that's planned on SGv2 so I don't think anything will change until the new site is put in place.

Yeah, I don't really expect anything to change on the old site. Just wanted to make sure support knew of any good suggestions on the off chance someone else hadn't suggested them before. ^_^
