What is up with StemGifts automatic syncs?

I've noticed my account becomes synced by itself every time, free weekend games are in my library constantly even though the last time I synced the account was weeks ago?

Is it just me or did I miss the memo?

your account will be synced approx once a week

It syncs once a week.
If you want to avoid being synced when there's free weekends sync on Monday or Tuesday.
