I usually open the link, check if the number of tasks is acceptable* (based on current mood) and decide if click or ctrl+f4

Huh, is that a thing, really? I never noticed a ref link in one of those. Where would I have to look for that?

I hate gleam.io. We pay too high of a price to enter those giveaways.

Well I don't even open up topics with these "gleam.io. Fulfill joining 20 groups and sell your kidney to get shitty game just to farm for cardz and buy GTA V for profit!"

But I think that they're harmful for everyone. These few cents from selling these ass-cheap cards aren't fair trade off for making zombie groups for harassing devs and promote people by ref links.

You have a point, I hate these kind of "giveaways", I always pass. At the most what I have done is to join Indiegala group for one of their giveaways.

I don't click gleam.io give aways, they're never worth it. They also seem to give away Deadbreed (which is free to play?) a lot. But I agree with you, referral links should be removed from any link. Sadly there are too many opportunists in the world.

To be honest I didn't even know those had ref link. I use to get the free games on gleam, till I realize the free games didn't worth all those actions recquired to get them...

Yea that doesn't make sense. I've personally never seen a ref-link in a gleam giveaway but I don't enter many of them. Maybe I got like 3 games in total... I'm just staying away from trash that requires too much or wants me to join too many groups.
But some are fine, like checking out greenlight games or stuff like that because it's still your decision what to vote (if you want to vote at all).

I would fucking LOVE if the gleam giveaways were banned,sadly,i don't see that happening.

I have mixed feelings about them. On the one hand, I don't like the fact that they contain referrals to so many Steam groups that benefit from that without even moving a finger. On the other hand... well, they give free games, and sometimes they are not Deadbreed or Woodle Tree Adventures.

Don't have Facebook or Twitter so I never entered any of those gleamy giveaways.

tbh..i agree with you that it is still a ref link no matter what, but at the same time i dont even bother with gleam at all so its not so annoying for me at least

It is kind of a ridiculous paradox to say the least , and worse of all is that some of those giveawyas are hosted on behalf of the developers ... who pretty sure didnt really plan to support some Greedy a*****les wallet and intended it to be pure promotional giveaways instead >.>

I'm sick of all these gleam.io giveaways. I don't even click these links anymore.
