When you purchase a groupees bundle, will you have the bundle added after selecting donate to charity or do you need to choose make it a gift?

I think the "Donate to Charity" option is only if you want to give money to the charity but don't want the game keys.
You only need to select "Make it a Gift" if you are purchasing more than 1 bundle or if you want to give the bundle as a gift to someone else.
If you don't select either option the games will go into your Profile, where you can redeem them to your Steam account.

That shouldn't be the case - donate to charity usually means your PAYMENT goes to charity, not your GAMES

Your message is completely wrong. You will get the games on your profile, even buying more than one bundle. You can give the keys or send by email. The send as gift option during purchase is to gift the full bundle.
