SPAM SPAM SPAM. At least my group giveaways don't have insane contrib values. Or tons of spam. Or insane contrib AND tons of spam. Well, two exceptions, but I don't do it on a regular basis. Kelfryn gave me a great idea, btw.

They think they will start winning piles of games when they join, without realizing the ones they can just are already filled with people who had the same idea, so are little better than a public giveaway, while private ones that do have good odds won't take them.

You can join any group that is open to everyone, just click that green "Join Group" -button. Private groups often have special requirements for joining or they recruit their members themselves. Just search for groups, they're not hard to find.
