What are some TV Shows you can recommend?
I prefer watching action, horror/thriller, maybe supernatural.

I have seen The Walking Dead, Chicago Fire and Rookie Blue.
I will be watching Game of Thrones when I can.

I wholeheartedly recommend Person of Interest to those who are into AI, Easter eggs, symbolism, complex characters that aren't there just to be, and guns guns guns. It has a slow first season and a chaotic last one, but overall, it's one of the best Sci-Fi shows I've seen. I'm just sad they weren't given more episodes for season 5, so that it would feel less rushed.

I would recommend Sense8, but that got cancelled with the 2nd season ending on a major cliffhanger
.
Arrow is pretty good too, except for it!s 4th season where the writing gets really bad compared to the rest of the series. Season 5 makes up for that though.

And American Horror Story should scratch the itch for horror & supernatural

Nooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! ;-;
I hadn't heard Sense8 got cancelled! Damn, this sucks!!! Really loved that one! :(
and with the insanely high production cost there's absolutely no chance for another network to pick it up...

Yup, first time I really wished that I had a Netflix subscription just so I could cancel it. I understand that, if they want to do things differently from traditional networks, that they'd have to experiment and eventually cancel stuff as well, I just would appreciate, if they'd either wrap things up before they cancel and move on, or stick with shows that only run for one season anyway (like "13 Reasons Why" ... not really my thing, but at least the whole story's been told).

Yeaaaahhh.... 13RW though got a second season :P
But yeah you got a point, I really wish they decide to just release another special just to wrap things up for Sense8 instead of just leaving it as is, the whole second season was just a build up for the no never-coming confrontation in season 3 ;-;

Yeaaaahhh.... 13RW though got a second season :P

Seriously? That story is wrapped up and done. How would they even continue? The dead girl coming back to life, another suicide? I was aware, that it's been a huge surprise hit for them, but I hadn't heard that it got a second season. Those news don't really improve my opinion on Netflix, that's for sure. If a story is finished, then i's finished, that's just milking cash imho, no more.

They left just enough breadcrumbs at the finale to be able to grab onto for another season. SPOILERS: The by far most probable and popular scenarios are either Alex's attempted suicide spans a whole new chain of "reasons" or Tyler's planning for a school mass shooting, again with his "reasons"
Personally I would have loved for this to be turned to an anthology series. Each season a completely new story. New location, new characters, new circumstances, new everything. And keep only the format as a basis, aka one big action(not necessarily suicide) and one episode dedicated to each of the events that led to it.

Okay, you're probably right about those possible scenarios, but I still think, they just should have left it as it is. That kind of show is not really my genre, but even so, it was okay for me, as a one-time experience. What makes interesting to watch, is the question whether or not the "dead girl" speaks the truth, what kind of dirty secrets are still gonna get out, and of course why Clay's on the tapes. All of that has been revealed, the latter even before the last episode (which is good for twist in the plot). Everything else is just meh, just as bad as having a sequel to "Avatar".

Hey, I just stumbled upon this here. It's not like I'm big fan of these change.org-petitions, or that I have high hopes, but almost half a million supporters is pretty impressive. Maybe they'll reconsider and wrap it up with another Christmas special, at least?

Gotham - Pretty much the prequel to Batman with a focus on James Gordon and the criminal world of Gotham.

Orange is the New Black - I never expected to enjoy this, but it's a female prison drama with some comedy elements and stuff. Very entertaining as a show.

Legends of Tomorrow/Arrow - If you like superhero shows, then these two are the best ones. Arrow is serious, Legends is really silly sometimes and feels like a Saturday morning cartoon. (People seem to like The Flash more, but it's in-between Legends and Arrow in terms of its seriousness and because of that feels like it's lacking an identity.)

Prison Break - A great show that people seem to have forgotten about. It's about a guy trying to escape prison with some other objectives too. The first season is very well made. Later on, it turns into a completely different show. Recently, they finished up Season 5, which was more like a new mini-series, which was also of great quality.

Heroes - Another forgotten show, Heroes has normal people find powers that they can use. Again, season 1, perfect. Later on, it's a stretch, because the original story was told in the first season.

Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul - Breaking Bad is (excessively) jerked off by the fans. It's a great show, don't get me wrong, but it's not near perfection like many say it is. Better Call Saul is the prequel for Breaking Bad and I'd recommend that instead. It's about a lawyer, who tries to deal with the clusterfuck that is his life.

American Crime Story - An awesome re-enactment of the OJ Simpson trials. I highly recommend it if you like stuff like that.

I have more, but I don't want to clutter up the comments here :D

I remember when Agents of SHIELD started and I watched the first 6 or so episodes and for some reason always got bored during the episodes.
Would you recommend trying to watch it again?

At SHIELD reddit it's common to see people giving it a second chance after they got bored of early Season 1. And they are always glad they did.
Being able to binge watch now seems to help a lot. At least try watching until Season 1 Episode 17 (Turn, Turn, Turn).

I would. Agents of SHIELD first season suffered for basically having to spin its wheels until a certain event happened in Captain America 2 (I won't mention it on the chance you haven't seen it). It starts getting good on the second half of the first season or so.

Agents of SHIELD has.... moments. There are times it drags and drags and drags and then there's times that "Oh yes! YES! MORE!"
And that's a recurring theme with all it's seasons. Personally not the biggest fan of it.
Regarding the TVMU though I highly recommend Netflix's side of it though. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist(not so much this one but it's the tie in for the upcoming Defenders show so...)

Also <3 for Heroes! Shame the "Reborn" season was so meh that it got cancelled again. Hope The Gifted makes up for it even if it's a completely different franchise :P

Will order major have-to-see releases by order of personal appeal

On Dramas:
Sopranos, Mr Robot, The Wire, House of Cards (US, especially first two seasons), Taboo, Westworld, Wolf Hall, The Expanse, Narcos, Peaky Blinders, Vikings, True Detective, Oz, Breaking Bad, House, Shameless (US), Black Sails, Person of Interest, Better Call Saul.

On Comedies:
Wilfred (US), Yes Minister, Yes Prime minister, Friends, Rick and Morty, Family Guy, Arrested Development

Special mentions: Attack on Titan and Death Note which are animated, but very well done, so much so that they deserve a chance to prove how good they are.

These I believe are some of the best the TV as a medium has to offer, only thing we can do now is wait for the Witcher.
P.S. Didn't include Stranger Things because while on one hand it was very good, on the other hand there were times i wanted to dig my veins out and craft a makeshift bow out of them, just to pass the time.
P.P.S. Some of these shows are almost objectively worse than others. That's 1) to be expected, 2) what it is. So I'd suggest to start from the most common answers in this group.
P.P.P.S. I need to cut down on this shit.

Millennium - Lance Henriksen stars as a former FBI profiler, Frank Black, who has flashes of insight into serial killers. Frank suffered a breakdown but is cautiously getting back into things as a consultant. Terry O'Quinn, who went on to greater fame as John Locke on Lost, plays Frank's friend, Peter Watts, who brings him into the Millennium Group, which may have a deeper purpose of its own. Where The X-Files often had a UFO-angle, Millennium was darker, dealing in serial killers and low-key supernatural horror. It's not on Netflix or Amazon streaming and was pre-HD (not wide-screen), but if you're looking for a horror/thriller series with a supernatural angle, I consider it a classic.

If you've seen Chicago Fire, then continue Chicago PD (start at season 2 of Fire) and Chicago Justice (start at season 5 of Fire). There is Chicago Med, but I didn't watched it.
If you have Netflix, go to Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

As someonea said above, True Detective, especially season 1, it's so good. Season 2 was a meh, but it wasn't that bad.

I don't watch many TV shows, but there are two series I very much enjoyed. The Strain (horror/slight action) and Killjoys (sci-fi/slight action). Give them a try when you're bored, maybe you'll like them :)

Well, they're all very different from each other so we have to agree on at least one or two xD
Small synopsis following.

12 Monkeys is a sci-fi/action series with a nice first couple seasons and now it's kinda dragging but still good enough.
American Gods well.... still trying to figure out what that is about xD
Fargo is an anthology series of crime, murder and deceit. First season I found it exceptional, second season was a bit meh for me and still waiting for season 3 to end so I can binge it :P
The Last Ship is not anywhere near the top of my favourite tv series list but I think it'll probably be rather close to the OP's taste.
Wayward Pines I'm still torn if I even liked it or not, but this certainly is what the OP is looking for. It combines all the mentioned genres.

For my taste I'd say I'm closer to stuff like Black Mirror, Fargo, Orphan Black, Penny Dreadful and This Is Us

Ah, well I'd have a very hard time categorizing my taste in shows. I've only watched Orphan Black out of those you mentioned to be honest and although it's high quality acting and over all it didn't really grip me. Maybe because I like to binge watch stuff and I was following this as it unfolded for a while.
