The 1st one was really good. Haven't played the 2nd one either yet.

I bought it and played it during the last Summer Sale- let me just say, you can TELL they made it specifically for MP.

The point of my comment was to tell people that you CAN'T enjoy the game SP. I've tried, trust me.

Out of the Park Baseball 2007. I can't believe it only has a 96 on metacritic

Lol. Sadly one of the lesser offerings from Markus. :)

Once in every 3 months, a new "underrated games" topic opens.Well I'm okay with it.
Alpha Protocol
Freedom Fighters
Dragon Age ( this game is WAY much better than Skyrim, yet didn't sold as much :( )
Binary Domain

Dragon Age is WAY much better than Skyrim? Right. Sorry but you need more than a great story to be a great game.

In my opinion, Dragon Age has more than the story going for it. The gameplay appeals to me much more than that of Skyrim etc.

Dragon Age's story ? There is no story in that game, you write that story.
I actually love the gameplay, not story.Team tactics, 4-Man formation and damn good skill system.
There is no "bad" in that game, everything is just perfect.I like Skyrim too, I've played it 120+ hours but Skyrim isn't even close to Dragon Age.

I agree with you on that, DA:O is one of my all time favourite games. I really like the TES series too, but I don't think Skyrim can match DA:O.

Alpha Protocol on my shortlist. Very excited about playing that one.

I dont get it, underrated != undersold.
Dragon age is highly rated in every review site.

It can also mean underrated by the gamers, not only the critics.

Man ... I feel sorry for you ... Life must be hard for you ... Too much talking in RPG's, eh ?

Rising Storm - I can't believe that Battlefield gets better ratings.

I will never forget my gameplay of the 1st Call of Duty game. The game's old, but fantastic.

The first CoD games were amazing. Very nostalgic when I think about it.
The problem is they can't stop the series.

Yep this game got a TON of incredibly unfair hate for some really stupid reasons.

The Cipher Prime games, AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA! For The Awesome!, Cargo Commander, and Super House of Dead Ninjas.
Also Lord of the Rings: Conquest, Monsters!, and Girl With A Heart Of, but those are non-Steam.
(I find Galactic Arms Race very fun, but it does need some serious cleaning up.)

I'm with you on Oddworld. It failed because it didn't get proper marketing...

Call of Juarez GUNSLINGER. which is the newest one in the series and so much better than the rest that it may as well not even be associated with them. The same kind of stark difference that Red Dead REDEMPTION had vs its counterparts before it.

BIT.TRIP FLUX will be added on Steam with time.
(And each BIT.TRIP game does NOT have 3 levels. FATE and RUNNER are the exceptions.)

3 "worlds", not 3 playable levels.
But I suppose we're both right here. Whatever.

E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy Link to steam - most people simply don't know about this awesome action rpg, while it might be almost as good as Deus Ex
Kotor 2: Sith Lords Link to steam - left forgotten due to the hassle regarding bugs, unfinished game etc. Furthermore, when SW: ToR got published, it was specifically advertised as a successor to the original KOTOR, making KOTOR 2 obsolete. And before it got published on Steam, Kotor 2 had almost disappeared from stores and it was almost impossible to find a copy anywhere. Currently there's a fan made mod/patch restoring all cut content and fixing all the bugs, but still word of mouth is strong with this one.
Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines Link to steam - again, left forgotten due to the hassle regarding bugs. A fan made patch may be found here
Aquaria Link to steam - one of the first indie games and one of the most brilliant and unique indie games on Steam, now left forgotten as too many indie projects come out daily.
Arx Fatalis Link to steam - one of the best dungeon crawlers out there, from the same developer that made Dishonored recently. Arx was released almost at the same time Morrowind & Gothic 2 came out, and was left forgotten due to being too hardcore even in comparison to the difficulty of Gothic series.
Also, I'd add to the list the games absent from steam:
Hitman: Contracts - had very original missions, but the atmosphere was different from the first games. Now absent from Steam due to some corporate sh*t about license for using of a single track in a single mission.
Neverwinter Nights 2 (actually we might get it back, as some action started happening on Steam DB lately, along with the original Neverwinter Nights. Most likely that is connected to an upcoming release of Neverwinter Online on Steam)
Zanzarah: the hidden portal Link to wiki - it was called a gamer's sanctuary. A unique fantasy game with interesting gameplay mechanics combining an fantasy adventure game with collecting pokemon and an arena shooter. Sadly absent from steam as well.
EDIT: also, games by Russian developer Ice-Pick Lodge: the Void Link to steam and Pathologic Link to wiki (absent from Steam, the developer are in the hopes of making a decent translation into English and re-releasing the game). Their games feature absolutely unique style and gameplay and are very-very individual and artistic. Can't compare them to any other game at all.
Also, Sudeki Link to wiki - a very nice anime-like action RPG, comparable to Fable: the Lost Chapters. BTW features extremely sexy girls ^_^
Also: Space Rangers Link to steam - a unique space sim, made in Russia, imo beats F.T.L. and the likes, rereleased several times as it took lots of time to make a proper translation into English.
Also: Arcanum of Steamworks and Magic Obsura Link to wiki - another great RPG by Troika Games, combining magic with technology. Most people don't even know about it these days.
Also: Severance: the Blade of Darkness link to wiki - the game, which served an inspiration for Dark Souls. It was made by the same people, who later made Clive Barker's: Jericho and a famous Castlevania: Lords of Shadow with a sequel following the next year.
Also: Clive Barker's Undying Link to wiki - one of the best horror games out there.
Also: Psychonauts Link to steam - I know that a lot of people do own it now, due to all the promotions and Humble Bundles, but how many people did actually play it? One of the best platformers and one of the best adventure games on steam. I consider it to be in my personal list of the best games I've ever played.

True that, I know about the fan made patch. I've beaten the game three times with it (last time I've finally played as a Malkavian), thinking about a new playthough ATM with Unofficial patch 8.8 =P and I consider it to be one of the best RPGs out there.
Edit: added the link to the Unoff. patch to the post.

Bloodlines, Arcanum, Psychonauts are underrated? Old yes, but nderrated? Are you crazy?
Imho, Arx Fatalis is overrated, nice game, but spell system which sounds interesting on paper is a pure pain in real gameplay, too too hard. I tryed that game several times, but allways i was able to complete about 1/8 spells.

Note, I'm talking about the games, rated highly by critics but missed by the vast majority of players due to a number of reasons.
For example, Beyond Good & Evil - a wonderful game, highly rated by critics, sold poorly as hell. Same with Psychonauts.
Bloodlines was skipped by most players as it was published almost the same time HL2 came out and contained so many bugs, that it was unplayable.
Arcanum was too hardcore for most players. It was praised by critics but overlooked by the gaming community.
BTW, it was not only hard to learn the spelling system in Arx, the whole world in Arx was VERY unfriendly. No guidelines, no strict rules. I started the game and dropped it several times till finally I've managed to beat the game. I can say that it is a very good RPG indeed, would love to see a sequel (which will never happen).
