SAMUDRA seems to be missing from the chart (both here and on barter)
That'll also be 13->14 items with that.
Still, thank you for your hard work <3

Just skip Playne and get Inward instead. Same dev, much cooler, and free.

Anyone interested in Playne, you should skip it. The dev has released another game which is the same except better and is free to play: Inward

Shouldn't that be reason to buy this game and support the dev?

I'm not sure how much money the dev will be getting from the $0.98 Fanatical is charging for it so if the point is to support the dev, I guess it's probably a good reason to buy it on Steam for 15 bucks.

There are some differences:
To answer your question huberstn, yes, Inward is different from Playne:

  • Cross-platform and will be released on mobile.
  • Design your Sanctuary: With Inward, you have a huge range of elements like flowers, grass, mountains, wildlife etc that you can unlock and choose to create a unique sanctuary. This comes with over 500,000 possible combinations (Playne's sandbox mode was 15)
  • Discover and grow unique tree species (over 75,000 species so far, and will grow with time)
  • Dynamic guided audio meditations that adapt to your session length.
  • More meditation than Playne
  • More journaling exercises than Playne
  • Minor stuff: Habit journey map

Playne, on the other hand, is more immersive than Inward since it's realistic (will need a decent GPU), and Sandbox/Evolve mode is first-person. (it's VR as well)

True, I'm not in the least interested in Quicktime 360, sorry, "VR" but I guess some people might be.
Other than that, I'd say Inward is superior to Playne in every way.
Playne is definitely not realistic in graphics and does indeed need a decent GPU but I'm guessing more for poor optimization than realism.
I have never managed the sandbox mode as it was bugged when I tried it and just never went back to see it fixed.

I'm not interested in VR either, but I compared the graphics. Playne is a bit more realitic than Inward, when it comes to graphics - but far away from realistic.

Can't say anything about bugs, because I haven't played any of the games.

I just posted an answer from the dev about the differences of the games. Sure, he wants to point out the good things, that's pretty normal.

The graphics did look different enough to justify the purchase for me.. but I mainly needed a 3rd game to choose because I owned everything else and I wanted this bundle to make use of the 20% off bundle coupon that I had that was about to expire. Otherwise I would've skipped it.

Sure. I don't really know why he made Inward free. Maybe he has monetizing plans for later, I don't know. Still both are cool if you want to get into meditation and build a habit.

O don't know either, but I won't ask. :) It's not that important.
But for about one Euro, you can't argue. If the game is garbage, so be it.

I'm in his discord and this is what he wrote for "Why Free?"

Because anything that can help us heal, should be available to everyone, especially those who can't afford it. Having Inward available on a platform for free would help me to reach that goal. My commitment is that any commercialization of my mindfulness related games in the future will be to gather the resources to develop a better product and not for profit.

He does offer in-game cosmetic rewards for Patreon supporters.

That's really cool. I know Playne and Inward are definitely more self care "tools" than "games" but still I also know a lot of people who wouldn't mind putting a price tag on that, especially as it's a lot of work, regardless.
Not that I feel bad or anything because I bought a few copies of Playne a couple of years back to give to friends so I did my part but I appreciate the sentiment and I would have gladly paid for Inward too.

Poland gets EU or ROW keys. RU-Cis are other keys afaik. And they could be oos - but I think, you can't buy the game in Ukraine.

I have half of these and can personally recommend Punch Club Deluxe if you are okay with grinding boxing training, and Golf Club Wasteland for a different kind of 2.5D golf game.

Wow 😄 That must be the first Pick & Mix in like 5 years where I immediately saw 3 games I'd like to have without having to research games.

  • Pathologic 2
  • Cobra Kai
  • Game Dev Studio

Pathologic because I read a great article a while ago saying it's a real hidden gem and very unique game. Cobra Kai because it's a licensed game so at that price might as well get it now before the license expires. Also how great is the show? Never really cared much for Karate Kid but the answer is VERY. And Game Dev Studio because at first glance it looks like the kind of game that might keep me obsessing for a couple dozen hours how to make the next FTL happen 😅

There's really a cult-following behind the games. Haven't played them myself yet but the creepy atmosphere is really cool
