walking dead lost me on the zombie sneak attack. if that many zombies can get threw traps place 3 episodes back that the writers forgot about and not make noise (dragging feet/moaning) well f*@^ me.
i had other issues to but i'll leave it at this.

Game of Thrones is awesome. Just don't watch it with parents / kids / anyone averse to gore or explicit sex scenes.

Shame it was cancelled, one of the greatest series I've ever seen. It's worth watching even knowing that it's cancelled, I think is the one I've laughed more along with The Office.
Also I'm watching Fringe right now and it's really good, it's from the creator of Lost, so it has a lot of mystery too.

HIRYM (How I Raped Your Mom) Only watchable online. (Arrow and Beauty and the Beast are nice, I don't watch much TV)

Didn't see Boardwalk Empire in this thread so far. It's pretty detailled and authentical though not as intense than other series

+1 for Game of Thrones. I'd also +1 Arrow and The Walking Dead.
I'm currently watching The Good Wife if you love a good legal drama.
There's Sons of Anarcy,
Breaking Bad,
Archer (one of the best adult animated shows of all time),
Adventure Time (is great if you want some childish humor with pop culture references),
Arrested Development's coming back to Netflix at 3AM EST on 5/26 (tomorrow) so that'll be good.
Hmm..
The first season of True Blood was great,
Happy Endings has been discontinued but it's a funny sitcom.
24 was fantastic, it's coming back next year as a 12-episode series.
Dexter should be back soon as well.
Nip/Tuck has it's hit/miss but it's been on for a while, you'd have to hunt down a box set or see if it's on Netflix.
Hannibal & Bates Motel. I've heard great things about 'em but have never seen them.
and finally,
Continuum. I just started it but so far, I like it. I'd say it's sci-fi light and would fit into the Fringe/Heroes loving crowd.
Hope that helps!

I ve just started The Mentalist. I like the mind manipulations and inhuman observations. It kinda reminds me of Monk which i loved to watch. Give it a look if you haven't already.
And about GoT the great things you heard are true, so true. The series is a true gem.No im not overrating it.

Any suggestions? I've already seen Lost. How is Game of Thrones? I've heard great things about it.
I'm looking for a more serious TV series. I'm not looking for comedies right now.
Thanks!
EDIT: Thanks for all of these responses! I'm definitely leaning towards Game of Thrones, but you have all given me a ton of more suggestions and alternatives!
