Gamers Gate on Steam

On GamersGate, both Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 1 and 2 are on sale (75% off). I was wondering if they are steam keys or standalone. Can anyone please help?
Edit: Noob Question: What exactly does Steamworks (Requires a third-party download and account) mean? Does it mean that its on steam?
